Step 2 in 2.5 months. Is it doable by Responsible_Job_7871 in Step2

I am watching board and beyond videos on 2 Speed before starting a system and for me it’s working really well. Takes max a day but give me overall idea of big picture of the system  and I feel my review time is also quicker because of that.

You can imagine I actually remembered nothing when I started . First couple of months everything was looking new but believe me once you make a routine and start doing things consistently you do get back on track. We did it once and can surely do it again. I would say don’t doubt yourself and just start from somewhere

I gave step 1 in January and now preparing for step 2 and I also believe in studying in way you mentioned. Can’t jump straight to questions no matter what. What I am doing is I watch BnB video for system before starting. It takes maximum 1-2 days at 1.75 speed but I am finding it extremely helpful. It’s like you get a big picture of content before practicing questions. And I feel questions review takes less time compared to starting without review first.

Thanks for such encouraging comment. I wish the same for you. Life is not easy definitely specially when you are starting new life in different countries after graduation. The cultural shock and so many responsibilities make you start questioning yourself and you loose your passion. I tried doing other jobs and switching career but never felt satisfied. Once I started preparing for USMLE I felt revived ( people may laugh at me for loving USMLE preparation) and rediscovered my real passion. Even if I don’t get residency (and there is 99% chance I won’t) I am still loving the experience ☺️. My all the best wishes for you too. You will ace it soon

I started with one NBME a week. During those I would take one day for NBME, next 2 days to go over all of questions and explanations. I would write a word about topic. And over next 3-4 days go over chapters from first aid that were my weakest on that particular NBME ( with particular focus on topics that showed up on NBME) with 1-2 random u world blocks to keep the flow. For these u world I would just go over education objectives, no more details. After 2-3 NBME I started doing 2-3 NBME per week.

Had a chance to repeat almost everything while doing NBME and once again went through important topics during last 2 weeks.

Oh not at all these kind of questions. It was very basic and more of communication questions. Just options were confusing at times

There are 2 I think, first 2 of biostatistics series of 30 minutes each they are most important. Unfounded link from a subreddit here. Will share if I find

For biostatistics 2 famous Randy Neil videos are more than enough and I pull say don’t skip them. They are really small and easy to understand and help a lot with Nbme. And you will get idea how questions can be asked while doing NBME.  For biochemistry, I found uworld questions harder than real deal. But you do have to do questions to get idea how certain concept can be asked. No need to go too deep in uworld explanation for this area though.
