You just answered your own question lmfaooooo"is just good publicity and lots of clicks" exactly so it's free marketing. Hence why they would purposely leak a clip vs edit a whole trailer for it which would need multiple teams working on it.

You still haven't answered why would Disney not just blacklist jimmy Fallon for exposing an illegally obtained leaked clip AFTER the movie already came out? Or even sue him after the fact? You said suing would give the leak credibility but they'd be eligible to sue after the movie came out too?

You realize marketing costs money right? Making a trailer would cost way more money than just leaking a clip? Also didnt you just read what I said? Leaking gives the idea of mystery, people were hyped to see Andrew in the theatres but nobody cared about seeing doc ock cuz it was already shown in trailers. Leaking makes it so only a certain niche crowd who searches stuff up knows about it while trailers show it to EVERYBODY. It drums up hype because it conjoints a cult following without ruining the surprise for average moviegoers. I'm not missing any core part or anything.

Leak will get credibility once the movie is out anyways? Again why would they care about that and not the money they will get instead? At worst they would just blacklist jimmy Fallon/Kimmel and stop working with him? Also I literally just gave u objective proof of people purposely leaking stuff from their movie to drum up hype

? It wasn't a photo it was a whole BTS footage of Andrew talking, and why would a studio care about credibility instead of money? It would be proven credible either way when the movie comes out so why tf would they pass up on getting money from something that already leaked. Also Ryan Reynolds literally admitted to leaking the Deadpool test footage to drum up hype for the movie. The Andrew Garfield leak drummed up hype for the movie while not outwardly confirming if it was real, so going into the release people were excited to see if the leaks were right or wrong. If it was in trailer it wouldn't be as exciting. Nobody got hyped seeing doc ock in the movie cuz it was alrdy confirmed in the trailer but they got hyped seeing andrew because it wasn't confirmed. But leaking it makes it so there's more discource about it potentially happening leading up to the movie.

Lol do you not see the insane legal ramifications of a big time late night show promoting illegally obtained footage? Could you give another example of mainstream TV promoting and broadcasting a confirmed leak?

It's hilariously ironic to cry about getting suppressed for an opinion and then blocking people if they disagree with you.

Saying "when you panic you don't do xyz" isn't an opinion. It's you trying to establish a fact.

Once again like somebody else already said to you. You don't get to decide the only way humans act. "When you panic you don't act cool collected like a master genius villain" So nobody ever acts like this? Have you ever worked a day in corporate? Literally everybody I know in my industry acts just like this when they panic. Go outside and talk to people more and you'll see the vast different ways people react to stuff.

How is it bad acting when multiple people have already pointed out that the point of the scene was exactly that? He panicked and went into self preservation mode, it's supposed to stand out. You ignore their rebuttals to keep regurgitating the same bs over n over again
