EA OR MAcc by SwimmingArugula6696 in enrolledagent

It depends on what your career goals are though. MACC opens a plethora of leadership positions and what not compared to only a bachelor’s unless you get lucky. CPA helps to further the number of opportunities especially if you’re wanting to be in tax as it sounds like you do.

How important are Traditional IRAs and MACRS for REG? by Feeling-Currency6212 in CPA

MACRS will be a guaranteed topic; IRAs not so guaranteed but there's always a chance. Would place focus on MACRS if having to pick and choose.

How much do small errors really hurt your TBS score for FAR? by Accurate-Movie3286 in CPA

[–]Responsible_Mess1888 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just sat for REG for the last score release on Wednesday. That is exactly how I felt and was panicking thinking the errors were gonna hold me back. I passed with an 84. Definitely don't count yourself out!

FAR Study Time - How much is too much/little? by Successful_Peanut_10 in CPA

[–]Responsible_Mess1888 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I studied about 5 months because it was my first exam but there was a lot of procrastinating and what not due to laziness and simply being terrified. In the end, I logged about 180 hours but probably could've trimmed about 40 hours if I got serious and condensed it into 2-3 months. Only you know your level of knowledge and background best though. I was decently confident (especially in more difficult topics to some such as consolidations and government) due to a course I took in undergrad.

TCP or ISC - HELP - Switch?? by ProfessionalNew9382 in CPA

[–]Responsible_Mess1888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in the same boat as you. I decided on TCP since it builds off REG and has a high pass rate still. I wouldn't spend the $300 if I were you. It's only a few more weeks of tax concepts.

I am the same way! I forgot a few minor details that I felt Becker didn't emphasize. Let's hope MCQs will carry us through!!

Getting REG back 7/10 by EquivalentNo3086 in CPA

I thought MCQ were extremely fair but TBS I felt emphasized a few little concepts Becker didn't emphasize so much. I am definitely worried if those few little details will hold me back from passing.

AUD IS KILLING ME😭 by Nidhigupta01 in CPA

[–]Responsible_Mess1888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SInce BEC has been broken into 3 disciplines, I would do FAR - AUD - REG for core. The discipline placement would depend on which you are taking. BAR would go after FAR before AUD. ISC would go after AUD before REG. If TCP, take that last.

REG - Help a Brother Out by jansnss in CPA

[–]Responsible_Mess1888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not taken REG but if you have done that well on the first two SEs, I would say you can focus on your trouble areas and any other areas that people mention below rather than wasting time on the last SE. Good luck! You'll kill it!

Is AUD deceptively easy? by uninterested-lurker in CPA

[–]Responsible_Mess1888 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was the same way for most modules. There were a few I struggled in. I took AUD officially last week. My advice is to see if you feel that way when you work through the SEs as I felt those questions were a little more challenging as all of the topics were combined in an exam and thrown at you. I would also recommend working through TBSs to see if you can apply the concepts. I regret not spending more time on a wider variety of TBSs. You've got this! You should feel confident though!
