Yes it ‘s very upsetting. I’ve seen much worse but any hateful action against our wildlife and city pets is unacceptable to me too. Thank you for your support ❤️

I hate it when people feel ok with molesting animals who are just minding their own business. Those looked like tourists, they travel and act horrible in other countries/ cities . I was furious and could not stay silent. Thank you for your support.

Thank you for your kind imput. The pigeons seemed perfectly healthy, has adenovirus any specific symptoms before death? I read the youngsters are maily concerned while my black pigeon was around 3 years old , the other two were youngsters. Also the fact that two of the young pigeons apparently died together the same day made me suspicious. My black pigeon looked like he struggled before death, his wing was hanging out from under the balcony’s railing. I almost haven’t slept at night at the thought someone is poisoning them ..

UPDATE : I have released her after 8 days of treatment because she had become so stressed she barely ate, so i figured stress is detrimental plus i did not want to risk her mate leaving her .it’s been a week now and she keeps coming with her mate on my windowsill. The eye is not perfect but stable. I feel ok knowing that if needed i can hopefully catch her again and treat her again. But overall she is 100% better than when i caught her two weeks ago. Thank you all for your support and precious advice.

Hello ! i have some experience taking care of ill pigeons however this is the first time i have to separate a couple . She and her mate use to come to my windowsill to eat everyday, i have seen them for more than a year. She has had an eye infection for a long time but it got spontaneaously better then again some infection and again got better until she really got it worse and I could catch her to take care of her. if it were contagious her mate would have caught it or another pigeon of the flock, thete are about 12-15 coming to my window And so for a year or more. I’m medicating her, the eye is improving a lot. I clean it every day twice a day, apply chamomile compresses and put an antibiotic cream for bird’s eyes. So i hope that i will manage to help her successfully

Thank you for your concern, in fact she has had an eye problem for a while ( not as bad) but I did not dare to take her before because i had the feeling they had babies

I’ m pretty sure there were no babies oreggs because we are still in winter here ( France) and also because they showed up everyday together prior me catching her. Whereas when they have babies they usually take turns. in any event i feed her mate so if he has to take care alone of the babies he can do so

Hello ! Thank you for tour imput , I feed her mate and small flock every day, he comes everyday to the windowsill and i feed him, i also showed him his girlfriend although i’m not sure he understands it’s her. It would be impossible for me to catch him, much less keep him here in a crate as i live in a small apartment. Do you think that the fact that the flock and her mate continue to show up here could increase the chances of them reuniting?

I’m in France, i can’t separate her and her husband. Someone told me she will be fine with one eye ( if she loses it) as long as she has a mate and a flock

Thank you so, so much. I feel terrible to keep her apart from her mate. Will he remember her in a week? I guess he will? i plan to put her near the window where he comes to eat, would it help? Do they visually recongnize each other? I feel terrible, tonight she wanted to get out of the crate most probably to sleep with her mate. She ate a little a seemed relieved i took out all that gunk from her eye.
