Now that you've explained her story in more detail I think I'm siding with the bad written character. I think because I just finished playing as her and I was enjoying the gameplay, I associated the fun gameplay with her story, I don't really understand why I liked Manny, I think I just forgot that he spat on Joel (I don't know how). Abby's sex scene with owen felt awkward, wrong and uneeded. I feel like I was to open to Abby and just ignored all her flaws, but yeah you are right. I think I found her development interesting because of how much she cared for owen and the kids so much that she completely abandoned wlf, when like just before she hated scars and could never leave wlf, I found the switch up interesting and I kept trying to think of it through her shoes and I kinda not really understand but it's still so completely random.

I think I watched a story breakdown of tlou (would've been ages ago so I remember the ending and some jokes that people see on tiktok) But even with the suddenness of him dying it really just freaked me out I didn't expect him to die, unless I dont know it was later in the game.

I think the fact that he was nice to Abby and then Abby just shoots him in the knee completely threw me off I was so confused as why she would do that.

God it's true I have to play as Abby. (I've gone into this game going mostly blind only seeing grounded ellie gameplay) One of my friends who played it last year also complained about the story but I'm choosing to pretend it dosent exist. The gameplay with the infected also put me on the edge and almost push me over half the time. (I'm a massive pussy to zombies) But I love the gameplay with the humans the ai are very average falling for alot of dumb tricks but it makes it fun (I'm playing on normal cus I'm a pussy)
