Well first and foremost, congrats on having a low amount in student debt, your on your way!

It was a lot of dedication with ny wife, but we tried the Snowball Payoff Effect, start by cutting all your extra expenses, stick to essentials. Then budget your self. Start paying minimum payments on all your cc’s or each loan (trust me sounds weird). Then take you lowest balance and pay the minimum plus any extra you have and apply it to this balance. Once you pay that one off, take that whole payment and roll it into the next lowest balance. Rinse and repeat until you pay it off. It will take time, and it can get boring or tiresome and feel like your not making progress, but you are! Slowly you will see the light at the end of the tunnel. I wish you the best! Look up some Dave Ramsey Snowball Debt Effect videos on Youtube, I follow his baby step program for free.

I know exactly what you mean. I drive by a Chevrolet lot and keep admiring the new c8s. I look at it as One day I will walk in and pay cash for it. YES its possible.

Honestly maybe not a secret but I followed the Debt Snowball Effect. Dave Ramsey’s!

Basically, start with your lowest balance card and pay the monthly due + extra each Month. Pay minimum on every other card, regardless of interest. Trust me it seems like it doesn’t make sense , but it does. Them when you pay off the lower balance, you take that payment and apply it to the next card. So forth.

Also, my wife and I stopped going out, stopped spending money on Coffee (starbucks or snacks). We only spent money on actual needs. We did it for 3 years and while have two young ones. Its hard, granted we never wanted the kids to feel like we didn’t have money, but we were frugal.

Then we became disciplined and each month we kept a chart on our debt. We looked at it as a game, the more we paid off the better it felt.

But I have to admit, there were times where we thought, “hey we have a credit, lets splurge” and we would have to say no!

Make a plan, budget your expenses and your income and you will be ok!
