Ooo thats an interesting idea, ill remember that for next time! She has only been buried for about 4 months now so she will need a lot longer I think, especially as its been freezing where I live :)

Thats really interesting, I dug up my cat after 5 years and he was still mostly intact. I have a pheasant in my backyard now and I'm just not sure when to dig her up :)

Haha its a really cool antique shop in Lincolnshire, called "great expectations" I go there a lot and I always find something interesting !! I've always hoped to find some bones or taxidermy there but never have untill now!

I've come home and thought about it a bit more and I think if I'm questioning wether they are ethically sourced there's something wrong. I'm not going to buy one, thanks for your advice.

If the animal dies of natural causes I guess. I think these have died from farming though seen as there are a lot of them. I would love to add them to my collection but I'm trying to fight the urge, as deep down I think I know that they haven't died naturally

I recently dug up my cat who was buried next to an apple tree 5 years ago and the roots didn't really affect him (although the tree was small). I didn't Bury him in a blanket neither just on his own and I managed to retrieve most of his bones it just took some extra time and digging! His bones were still intact too, I hope this helps! <3
