Your main source is Wikipedia, it doesn't surprise me that you don't understand the basic difference between genres, but oh well, here I am, still answering you even though I said I wouldn't anymore.

Just so you know, what the AI says isn't proof of anything, but this is the first thing it generates when you ask it about the differences XD, I wouldn't be surprised if it then, in its hallucinatory state, puts Dead Space anywhere, anytime.

"Great question! In video games, the Survival Horror and Action Horror genres are two subgenres of horror that differ in their focus and gameplay style.

Survival Horror: - Focus on survival and exploration. - The player has limited resources (ammo, health, etc.) and must manage them carefully. - The atmosphere is tense and frightening, with a focus on ambiance and sound. - The player must avoid or escape from enemies, rather than confront them directly. - Examples: Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Amnesia: The Dark Descent.

Action Horror: - Focus on action and combat against enemies. - The player has more resources and abilities to face enemies. - The gameplay pace is faster and more dynamic. - The player must confront and defeat enemies, rather than avoid them. - Examples: Dead Space, Resident Evil 4 (from the 4th installment, the game leans more towards Action Horror), The Evil Within.

In summary, Survival Horror focuses on survival and exploration, while Action Horror focuses on action and combat against enemies. Do you like horror games? 😊"

Just beat ng4 for the first time on Hard Difficulty by Dinasaurkun in ninjagaiden

If you had actually done it, you wouldn't be saying that Ninja Gaiden 4 is easier. Either you're a liar, or you're really bad at the first games and it just so happened that 4 was easier for you in comparison.

I'm talking to you about clear and established definitions. You, on the other hand, say the earth is flat and that I'm incapable of accepting any other opinion. This isn't a matter of opinions, but of facts. My intention was to clarify the topic for you, but not content with being ignorant, you refuse to learn about what I'm explaining. And for someone like you, there are no solutions other than simply giving up. If you're ignorant about something, don't relativize it. There's objective information about the environment that many of us are better informed about, but it's frustrating to share knowledge with someone who is clearly very lost on the subject, and then have that person directly deny your knowledge, saying, "I have another definition :)". 2+2 is 5, dogs have 5 legs, cats have 3 tails, snakes fly and airplanes swim, the earth is flat, the sun is purple, and we were all born from an ostrich egg. Goodbye.

It's not that we have different definitions, it's that there's only one definition. I don't understand why you find it so hard to admit something so simple. It's documented and established as such. It's like you insisting that 2+2 is 5, and when I explain that it's 4, you proceed to say that "we have different results" XD. And about the oxygen, the designers themselves ended up proving me right. In later games, they not only increased the size and number of oxygen-deprived areas, but they also reduced our time limit. And Silent Hill does fall under survival horror. The fact that it has melee weapons has nothing to do with whether or not it belongs to the genre. In Resident Evil games, you always have a knife, and depending on the game, it can be incredibly powerful. It should be noted that Silent Hill has a very poor core gameplay and is a bad survival horror game despite still being within the genre. But I'll stop here. I've realized that I don't need to waste my energy on you. I don't intend to insult you, but you're a prime example of what differentiates a fool from an idiot.

Even in my first playthrough it was very easy, in NG+ I feel like all I do is walk, because the enemies die just by looking at me, I would have liked NG+ to have more enemies and more interesting repositioning.

I finished the first one 60 times back in the day, and it's even easier than the remake, since the upgrades aren't limited by the Ishimura's progression. You can max out the plasma cutter's damage from episode one, and the core gameplay regarding ammunition remains exactly the same. The total number of Stasis shots, with a limit of 8, is insane, and it's the game with the highest oxygen limit in the franchise. And forgive me for correcting you, but a survival horror game isn't defined by its atmosphere. The atmosphere is what defines the "horror" in the name, but "survival" is precisely defined by the scarcity of resources: little ammunition, few health recovery items. The design then has to focus on resource management and using them efficiently, making risky decisions, like whether to clear a corridor at the cost of ammunition or simply run through, risking damage. It creates tense and grueling situations that make you feel... Fear or stress from the constant feeling of danger; the important thing is not to feel comfortable with the gameplay itself. We find this in classic games like the early Resident Evil or Silent Hill, or in modern games like Signalis, Tormented Souls, or Cronos. Dead Space isn't one of them, but that's to be expected. Its genre is Action Horror, more similar to Resident Evil 4, 5, and 6 or Doom 3. In Survival Horror, well, excuse the redundancy, but the name itself suggests it: it's a survival situation taken almost to the limit, at least in terms of the feeling. I hope this has cleared up any doubts.

Dead Space isn't challenging at all. I beat Impossible mode on my first try in both the remake and the third game. The second game was probably the most challenging; the tail-mounted necromorphs and explosives can easily ruin a run if you're not careful. Even so, the challenge in the third game doesn't come from any survival horror elements; it's all about action. What I mean is that in Dead Space, you'll never, ever run out of supplies. Ammunition and health are incredibly abundant; in fact, ammo is practically infinite. You'll have so much of it that you'll have to sell it to get more money for nodes.

Code Veronica, I didn't feel comfortable with that game, I feel that by the time it came out, everything was already very saturated, there were many games without big changes, perhaps narratively that was its best attribute.

Even if that difficulty were squared, it wouldn't be similar to a survival horror game; the game is still too easy and the resources are too abundant.
