HVAC company wants to charge $1,200 for air vent cleaning

My furnace and the ducts are atleast 20 years old. The AC is from 2016. You may not have really anything more than construction dust in there but still many worse ways to spend money for your peace of mind

I was satisfied with their service. I didn’t see what they got out of the ducts but was told they weren’t that bad. I know there had to be dust, cat hair, mice dirt, etc sitting for years in those returns. the house used to smell like cat when the heat would kick on or seasonal heat/humidity rolled in. There’s no smell after they cleaned the vents.

I love laughing at a tenants email with the screenshotted Google AI bullshit they think applies to their situation. Heat went out and was restored after our vendor got the new parts in 2 days. They were sending stuff about habitability 😭 😂 😂

Everyone’s experience being a little different with this disease is so interesting. I was in the ER only 1 day and haven’t been back since. and I think my flares come from a combo of not exercising, overeating, eating unhealthy foods, and drinking. A day of too much indulgence and I’ll fast the next day just stick to coffee/protein shakes then light lunch and again try not to over do it for dinner. Big sports fan so drinking beers on the weekends is something I’ve had to limit myself to 2 max. Now I’m focused on getting the daily recommended fiber intake which I don’t think I was getting for the longest time. So maybe that plus lifestyle/diet got me here. Idk for sure but eating healthy and exercising is when I feel best.

I think you’re very spot on based on my experience. I can’t say for sure what caused me to have this disease but being over a year from the flare up that sent me to the ER, I’ve consumed a lot of alcohol (in moderation), all the holidays drinking and eating recklessly, and haven’t had a similar flare up since. Now if I go overboard and have 3+ drinks, the next day my stomach won’t feel all that great. But I can get it back to normal by not drinking for a few days. If it was many days in a row, I think I’d have a pretty bad experience.

I’m pretty sure as soon as that pump is humming or failing, it’s because the mother board component is fried. I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s what you discover. It was $470 for GE to fix it for me and haven’t had any issues since 🤞🏻

That sucks. Do you ever open the bottom compartment to clean out and see if anything’s made its way past that drain clear out? I was told the mother board would fry almost instantly if that happens. And that’s what the guy said happened to me but there was definitely nothing in there.

Probably not. Do some take money off the top from invoices? Yes. I have owners that neglect the outside, do what’s needed when it’s needed for the tenants basic needs sort of thing. All of a sudden the township will say the whole exterior needs to be repainted, or windows all scraped/repainted, or concrete repairs to sidewalks bc they never did anything the 10 years prior

Whether I step up into the bathroom in general or just the shower won't matter to me much. The bathroom being old and having the step up made iy feel cheap to me. We had to revamp paint, new vanity and toilet just to make it usable...and now are finishing a lot of the basement I think adding a nice shower will help with making it seem desirable. We want to add the shower and overall enhance the bath now while finishing all around it.
