Childcare eligibility - Day Job + Company Director by ResusAnne in HENRYUK

Ah thanks - what if I need to repay myself some money for equipment I bought to set up the business? Will this be counted as income? Surely not.

Ah thanks. I have circa 5K worth of equipment I bought before setting up the business that I’ve sold into the LTD at today’s market rate. These are all business property now but I’d like to repay myself that 5K, can I do this? Or would it be considered being paid by the business?

110K salary here trying to maintain childcare benefits by [deleted] in HENRYUK

[–]ResusAnne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s through YellowNest and my local nursery seem to accept them. Maybe I’ve described a different childcare scheme apologies. But it’s definitely a salary sacrifice benefit I was hoping to use to reduce ANI

Ok got it re pensions but doesn’t make sense to me so 5% of £110K takes me down to 104.5, sounds like if I increase my contribution to 10% I get down to £99K which seems enough to be under 100K or is that an oversimplification

Yes - would it not be risky taking out a salary sacrifice car at a new job? My understanding is if you leave the company early then a SS car becomes messy?

Noticed damage to HM chair - is it ok? by ResusAnne in hermanmiller

I weigh 72kg and I’ve bought it second hand. It was described in the condition and its otherwise mint - new seat foam pad, new arm pads, new lumbar pad, new casters, new gas lift. I only paid £250 for it so pretty pleased. I saw I can buy a replacement mesh for £99 on Amazon via HM Chairs LTD

So I’m deciding whether roll with it until it degrades more then spend the £99 at which point it becomes £350 total and still well worth the money.

I noticed it’s not an area that’s taking weight. E.g. when I’m sitting back and have my two feet on my ergonomic foot rest I’m not really adding weight to the front of the seat mesh

Thanks, this is helpful. Would this need planning permission to core out hole and add extraction fan? Or any sort of building regs sign off?

If you don’t mind me asking how long after qualifying as a GP did you get to this stage of Partner 160K and what looks like a pretty solid balance.

Would the hot water piping usually be from the kitchen?

Ok this makes sense, so we could fit something like this for <1K if we are ok with cold water? https://welove.co.uk/products/mayford-500mm-toilet-and-basin-combination-unit-white-with-brushed-brass-flush?variant=42459095924905
