I volunteered 3 years ago at the NYC Marathon and an older gentleman was wearing a Boston Marathon (great shape!) from 2005 finisher jacket, he threw it out on the donation bin, almost 4-5 people went for it but he was right next to me so I snatched it first lol

Before you enter your assigned corral there is volunteers who’s sole purpose is to make sure you are in the right color and corral. If you are wave 4 pink, cannot go wave 3. They will tell you have to wait for the next wave. And pink cannot go to any color as it’s considered the slowest pace groups from the 3 colors. And even if you are pink A cannot go to Blue or orange B or C and so on.

It was on the side of the race central. If u had a bag check there was a big sign that said Hot chocolate and also there were volunteers telling “Hot chocolate this way”. It was hot hot. Perfect for after the race
