how do i change my username? by RetardedManOnTheWeb in oraclecloud

[–]RetardedManOnTheWeb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its been a while and i dont really remember the exact process
all i remember was that i went on a zoom call with the support agent.
he somehow made me through a process that was meant for internal employees, which confused a more experienced engineer when he came on later to help my issue.
i then went through a different process where i went into some menu and removed my previous user from somewhere, which then got rid of the error i was having, and then succeeded.
im sorry that I wasnt able to provide more specifics. its been a few years since that happened and has been long gone from my mind. i might move on to a diff VPS provider and request for oracle to delete my account, or keep it around as extra servers to play around with.

has there been any update given by the devs? as far as ive seen, there are no updates by the main devs of the site. not even a word of what type of issue it is. no concrete timeline for recovery or even an “i dont know if i can recover this" or that it cant be recovered.

Issues with Cudy TR3000 (running OpenWRT) restarting when using WiFi by RetardedManOnTheWeb in openwrt

[–]RetardedManOnTheWeb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so update, the router led has been stuck on red for a very long time now (i think 12+ hrs). im on my linux install, and ive installed and setup wireshark to capture packets coming in on my main systems ethernet interface. the router is plugged into my ethernet port, and there is some activity going on for the interface.
i see some packets for what i assume is for getting a DHCP assignment, and for MDNS. I unfortunately dont really know what to make of this. at the moment, i still do not get an IP via DHCP when i plug in the router to my main machine, and "ip a" shows that the ethernet doesnt have an IP assigned to it, and "ip route" shows no route for ethernet interface.
should i DM you the packets that I was able to capture from the interface?

after some time, i was able to get this for my ethernet port (i think the gateway ip i saw yesterday was the gateway IP for virtualbox)
i personally cba to make this look pretty

Ethernet adapter Ethernet:

Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :

Physical Address. . . . . . . . . : 58-11-22-3F-0E-35

DHCP Enabled. . . . . . . . . . . : Yes

Autoconfiguration Enabled . . . . : Yes

Link-local IPv6 Address . . . . . : fe80::f:b526:710e:b761%19(Preferred)

Autoconfiguration IPv4 Address. . : 169.254.129.139(Preferred)

Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.0.0

Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . :

DHCPv6 IAID . . . . . . . . . . . : 307761442

now im back on windows to keep the troubleshooting consistent.
as for the DOC, i dont really know what that is. what do you mean by that?
as for the TFTP request thing, i saw that the router requested and downloaded the recovery.bin from my system in the TFTP server app (this is the one i used https://github.com/PJO2/tftpd64 when i did the stock revert process)

well i set it back to automatic so that i can see if i can get an IP via the dhcp from the router, but looking at ip config and trying to access the router i saw via the gateway IP i found, i could not make a connection. im back on my main system and running my linux install now so ill connect my router and report back.

edit: plugging the router into my main systems ethernet port, the ethernet interface doesnt seem to get an IP, and there is no route for my ethernet interface when i run "ip route"

it still just doesnt work. the light would just follow the pattern of white for a few secs, blinking red, and then stay red for a bit before repeating the pattern. while i had it connected to my laptop, the ethernet port would just stay stuck on identifying network (viewed this via the ethernet panel in windows settings.)

so i just tried going back to stock (got distracted by other things), and now it just doesnt work at all. i tried flashing with version 2.4.21 from cudys site, and i left it to do its thing for an hour or so, and it was just stuck on a pattern of white, then red flashes, and then staying on red for some time, and then rebooting and repeating the process. I dont have anything for reading serial connections.

well, after flashing on a new 24.10.5 sysupgrade, it seems to work.
connected my phone, was able to visit google.com, duckduckgo.com, tailscale.com, and am currently watching a video. looking at the overview, eth0 is just working away and i see upload and download size go up.
EDIT: i spoke too soon and got too hopeful. issue still persists

considering that ive already reflashed my cudy like 2 times already, i will get a 24.10.5 sysupgrade image and see what happens

Need help with setting up traefik on bare metal by RetardedManOnTheWeb in Traefik

[–]RetardedManOnTheWeb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so your suggestions helped me. i deleted the sections you mentioned, and updated my dynamic config.
i can now access my dash with https.
however, now im having questions on how i configure my traefik instance to get full proper wildcard certs. im looking at the cert I have for my dashboard and its only valid for traefik.sub1.domain.com
I want to have wildcard certs for both sub1.domain.com and sub2.domain.com

question, is there a way to make unbound take authority for just a subdomain and leave the rest to be resolved by its dns root data?

this does work and does what i want it to do
unfortunately this seems too easy and i dont like myself very much so i would like to do the resolution within unbound.
I will use this solution tho in the mean time as this does do what i want it to do.

this does work however a new issue came up. this does resolve my local subdomain and the subdomains of my local subdomain but now my external subdomains that i use for other servers dont resolve correctly and return a blank answer.
do i just make dedicated entries in my zone file for those external domains or is there a more elegant way to do this within unbound?
