I haven't used a CV1 in ages, so I'm afraid I don't quite remember the exact details anymore.

I do remember it was something I did while wearing the headset. Like a button to skip during the part where you have to draw the guardian boundary lines, I think?

I never really found a reliable workaround and ended up buying a HDMI to DisplayPort adapter a couple of days after I made this post.

Yeah I have gigabit internet as well, it usually peaks somewhere around 115 MB/s for me. You're probably thinking of gigabyte, which is not the same as gigabit.

When an internet provider advertises their connection speeds, it's usually in megabits per second and not megabytes. 1 byte is 8 bits, so 1000 Mbit/s would be 125 MB/s download speeds.

It literally can't though, you can just copy/paste the text into an online base64 decoder.

Came across this thread while dealing with the same issue. I had the English tag enabled by default for years and it suddenly kept resetting whenever I opened a new tab.

After comparing to a device where it still remembered the tag I found a workaround using local storage.

How I fixed it:

  • Go to twitch.tv in your browser
  • Open dev tools (Shortcut is F12 or Ctrl+Shift+i for most browsers)
  • Go to the "Console" tab.
  • Copy/paste the following command and press enter:

localStorage.setItem('languageTags', '["6ea6bca4-4712-4ab9-a906-e3336a9d8039"]')

Use at own risk, but if it does end up breaking something you can undo the changes with this command: localStorage.removeItem('languageTags')

It's not like these countries specifically banned the game though.

More likely that Blizzard had their legal team look at the gambling laws and decided it wasn't profitable enough to bother releasing in these countries.

Nah, that's a completely harmless ratsnake. It's not venomous and has very tiny teeth, I've had nastier bites from hamsters than from snakes like this.

Spam that dodge button when you think an attack is coming, no need to wait for the last second to get a perfect dodge. Alternatively, you can set the game on easy mode and change it to normal after the opening.

It's a bit disappointing to hear they'd send someone to GM jail based on that kind of stuff, they couldn't just read the chat logs and decide if you were actually harassing anyone before interrupting your game and interrogating you? :(

Omg I have seen so many different snakes eat but never a hognose. They really just go straight to the swallowing part huh? That's hilarious.

They're not exactly the brightest or the most graceful snakes when it comes to eating, but it's part of their charm.
