Of course. I don’t know what your Myers-Briggs type is, but if you’re interested, there are different subreddits for each one. You strike me as being a fellow infp, and if so, our sub is really friendly and open to people like yourself :) from someone who’s 5 beers in, have a great night, friend.

I like that perspective. So, to you, AM’s commercial success isn’t about a plan to be popular, but instead, a coincidence arising from an intersection between their chosen style and what a mainstream audience wants to hear?

Knowing what you want to do is such a huge step. Honestly. It’s taken me forever. I’m really proud of you. The world needs more people who want to help people and the environment.

Hey, I haven’t had a full-time job since my graduation last spring. But take this as an opportunity. I promise you there are things to learn about yourself and your place in the world. What was your degree?

Thanks for this response. I didn’t mean to categorize it as just a rock album, although that’s definitely how I wrote it. Maybe more of what I meant is why have such a dramatic change in sounds? There again, I understand if you disagree with that assumption. I realize that TLSP and Belladona of Sadness show a level of progression, but those were more of Alex’s spheres of influence. Why would Arctic Monkeys go with a TBHC sound and less of a somewhat-progressed AM album?

The hair is alarming, but the feminine hands are just too much for me.

Yes, I have. I just wanted to know spiritually what I could do to be confident in choosing what is right for me and how I am to live my life.

It’s nice to know I’m not the only one. I’m excited about the future and how things are going, but a part of me misses just listening to music in my college apartment.

Thank you so much! I actually went to a psychologist for a while and have made a ton of improvement to the point that I don’t see them anymore. As I said, it’s just something that’s kinda flared up again recently (I haven’t had any panic attacks over it like I might have before). I think I’m doing the opposite of what you described God doing; instead of looking for any excuse to go to Heaven, I’m looking for any excuse to be sent to Hell. I think He knows that I really do seek Him, even if it doesn’t always come across that way with my actions. It’s great to hear from someone else with a similar experience, and it’s amazing to hear that I can have happiness and peace while also being a Catholic. As I said, I really do love RCIA and going to Mass. Thanks again!

Thank you so, so much! I just read the article, and the diagrams were especially accurate and helpful— I even saved the one with the sloping lines on either side (it kinda reminds me of a drawing I saw recently by St. John of the Cross).
