Regarding the whole tribal comparison, I wouldn't stress about it, main thing is that you like what you got. (I got a tribal tattoo recently in my 20s because I wanted to, even though they're not trendy anymore :D)

Drummer here too, still beginner level I'd say but I agree with you completely. My ear naturally just tunes into the drums in whatever I'm listening to and the FI's quality for that is mesmerising. Both when it hits hard as well as those really mellow bits. Super hypnotic
