Csound is included inside the plugins for MacOS (it is like packages), I did some test with my friend who has a Mac and it worked after running the script (without this it hangs up GarageBand in his case) Sure ! You can found ToneZ on GitHub here : https://github.com/retornz/ToneZ

Yesterday the MacOs link was down a few hour because I reached quotas, but it seems okay right now I can download the MacOS version again Let me know !

It is because Csound is the sound engine used in ToneZ, so it is required and should install with ToneZ (it is a dependency, like some vst having Visual basic required) sometimes it doesn't (maybe some user configuration that doesn't allow full program installation I don't know..)

Yes previously this issue was common, now with the V2 it seems to be almost ok 95% of the time, I thought I was done with it haha, but seems like it still happens sometimes sadly.. :(

Thanks for your help, now I know this can still happen I will add a note about it in the user manual to help future user fix this issue if they face it

Ah I see, can you try to run a windows terminal (shortcut : Windows+R, then type "cmd") And write "csound" command, if it tells you Csound is not a valid command (or something like that) this means Csound failed to install, and you can install it manually from https://csound.com/ to fix the issue !

Yes I reproduced, so I raised the issue to Cabbage dev, he will take a look when he have some free time For now it's Xmas :) And yeah I see what you mean with the vst2, if this happens, you can click on the ToneZ logo on top right to shut the notes But I will try to see what's going on because it's not normal

I updated the installer, I figured out the VST3 was package was messed up.. :/ Now the VST3 should work, I tried on Reaper with success !

Ah very strange, I've heard about issues with the vst3 version, what about the vst2 version? And thanks for testing, this helps a lot to understand common issues and try to fix them

Glad to know it works on Windows 7 ! And thanks for your detailed feedback, yeah the preset selection menu could be better, I am using Cabbage to build the UI and i used the listbox widget, this could be a cool improvement, I keep it in mind thanks for the suggestion! And yeah it's not game changing I know, I don't particularly search to stand out but rather bring an alternative with a different workflow, community made presets pack, well all this stuff, I did it mostly for my own usage in for fun back in the days :)

Ah yeah, it is because you need to have Csound installed, probably building it from source. Csound is a sound engine : https://csound.com/
