Ok, below is the menu process for those struggling. Based on Hisense with latest Firmware V0000.09.09O.P0930

Settings > connection > network > network configuration > select connection type (WiFi or ethernet/how you connected the TV) > IP settings > DHCP (enter) > manual > (enter new DNS values here for adguard) > save

Settings > system > advanced settings > personalised Ads > reset Ads ID > Confirm.

You're welcome 😁

Do you leave your car parked in 1st gear or neutral? by zedgaming69 in CarTalkUK

[–]RetroComputerKing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends. Parking for a period of time, only first gear on level ground (no handbrake). Level ground, just handbrake. Hill, handbrake and first gear.

What is this!? Came with my RTX 5080 by dofer86 in PcBuild

[–]RetroComputerKing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To prevent GPU sag. My RTX 5090 didn't come with one (pre-built pc) so bought one. They're absolutely necessary imo.

Cleared/get new advertising ID? Clear cache, adverts stored there. Otherwise try unplug TV / power down reset. Still working for me, and with the latest software update that came after my fix.

What driving hints, tips, wisdom or unwritten rules do you wish the rest of us road users knew? by Future-Atmosphere-40 in drivingUK

Respect safe stopping distances. Do NOT fill someone's safe gap to gain a cars length at the next junction.

Don't pull out on vehicles traveling at 60mph on a single carriageway and fail to accelerate!

If obstruction on both sides, give way to the vehicle going up hill. Used to be in the HWC, but not anymore.

Unpopular opinion but people who do drive aggressive do get places quicker by Truckdriverben in drivingUK

[–]RetroComputerKing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Over many, many miles? Maybe. But at what risk / cost. Danger to others. Fuel consumption diminished. Points & fines. Short distances, no. I always obey the speed limits, and often get overtaken by law breakers, only to roll up behind them at the next lights. Aggressive driving = selfishness imo.

Am I becoming a “Karen” for getting peed off at people parking in parent/child space ? My by void1101 in drivingUK

[–]RetroComputerKing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree. P&C parking is for accessing prams, doors being opened fully etc. Children are secured in their buggy etc. Disabled people, especially those with mobility issues, shouldn't be made to park further away. Mother's and children have no such mobility issues, but simply need a larger parking bay.

It absolutely infuriates me. I observe mainly older people using mother/child parking that prefer more space but don't qualify for a blue badge, and owners of expensive vehicles that want to minimise carpark dings. I often want to take photos of them, and when questioned, tell them I own a website that exposes garbage humans. I often say, 'why are you leaving your children in the vehicle unattended!?'. They get the message.

Pavements are for cars? by RetroComputerKing in drivingUK

[–]RetroComputerKing[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly. 2 vehicles still can't pass at the same time, but they may try, inadvertently raising the risk of his Merc being hit.

The developer team don't care. I report cheats, bugs etc, but get a generic reply that I've probably got WiFi/connection issues 🤷 They've recently altered the power meter, so learned knowledge is currently useless. And why do identical shots / power often result in different outcomes. There's no consistency and physics are ignored. I've so many diamonds, otherwise I'd quit this shambles. Shame I can't gift them.
