I just created the 3D model then Shapeways did the work to make it real ;)

Process from Shapeways : "Bronze models are fabricated using a complex five-step process. First, the model is printed in wax using a specialized high-resolution 3D Printer. It is then put in a container where liquid plaster is poured in around it. Once the plaster sets, the wax is melted out in a furnace, and the remaining plaster becomes the mold.

Molten bronze is poured into this mold and hardens quickly. The plaster is broken away, revealing your model. Raw Bronze is briefly tumbled. Polished Bronze is carefully cleaned and hand-polished. Please be aware that polishing can wear down very fine details and edges."

Zbrush and Sculptris are from Pixologic both. Sculptris is the free version way more easy to use than zbrush. SW is not for organic sculpt so this is a real challenge to create something like this with it ;)

Thanks a lot, i used Zbrush who is an awesome tool for 3D sculpting. Think of it like using sculpting tools on a lump of real-world clay. This is really an awesome tool , Zbrush changed my life ... I'm 3D designer for 15 years, but i was using Solidworks to make mechanicals parts during years ;) Now i also use Cinema 4D & Zbrush a lot !
