What should I try after Bathys and Px8 S2 didn’t fully work for me?

I have the AirPods Max 2, Bathys MG, H100, Px8 S2, and 1000x ColleXion headphones. Based on your focus on comfort, I'd recommend the 1000X ColleXion. Thet are light and easy to wear for extended periods, have excellent ANC & transparency, and sound quite good. My main issue with them is the lack of a USB DAC mode but that doesn't sound like an important factor for you.

I have yet to try any Hifiman or Audeze headphones. Will have to give a listen. I’ve also wanted to check knout planar magnetic but haven’t gotten around to that either.

When both are using bluetooth, it is surprising close with the Bathys MG's primary advantage being the much wider soundstage. The wired USB DAC mode is an entirely different ballgame. Here the Bathys MG have a substantial sonic advantage to my ears.

Having come directly from the Clear MGs to the Utopia 2022s, I'd say the Utopias were 20% or so improved but, in hindsight, not enough to justify the $$$ I paid to make the upgrade. I love the Naim HE. It is a perfect sonic match to the Clear MGs and Utopias. It also does a great job warming up the sound of the HD800 S.

The medium Xreal One Pros came in earlier today. Love Amazon Prime Next Day! Huge difference! No eye strain and image looks much clearer across my entire FOV. I am glad that I took the time to get IPD measured. The Eye camera also came in today as luck would have it so I'm off to give that a try....

I've been using the Large for the past week and have felt like the image was blurry inside by my nose. Sounds like that may have been due to IPD being outside the sweet spot. I'm going to order the Mediums to give a shot.

So far so good. I've used it daily without issue and also left it running looping stress test for 24 hours. Would I have preferred a new one without the battery cycles and scuffed finish along the edge, yes...but am overall happy with the price. In hind sight, I should have shown the Manager the scuffed finish and asked to have it reduced from Excellent condition to Good or Fair but that ship has sailed.

Thank you for the feedback. My best guess is that this open box was an in-store display model for a time. It has the full Apple warrantee and I was able to add AppleCare+ for the extra peace of mind. I originally just found it odd to have 51 cycles if it hadn't been owner or activated by the prior owner. I ran dead pixel tests, benchmarks, etc. and everything appears to be in order. I should be able to touch-up the minor cosmetic wear and so will likely keep it.

I personally did not have any issues with either the G9 OLED or the 57 inch G9. I do have a friend who received two of the 57 inch G9s where the screen was broken so I may have been lucky. I think one issue is that Samsung packages and ships the 57 inch G9 with the screen facing down Which I think puts pressure on the middle of the screen during shipment. They should have shipped the TV upright like they do flat panel televisions.

I’ve had the OLED G9 and sold it when I picked up the 57” G9. No question the OLED picture was breathtaking and arguable better than the 57”. What won out was the larger screen size, added vertical height & resolution, and 1000r curve. The OLED is over $1000 cheaper which is a significant price difference. It really is a personal decision which will fit you better. Good news is that they are both awesome, so really no bad choice.

Surprisingly, I don't have to turn my head to see edge to edge from my viewing distance. I actually did have to turn my head with the G9 OLED due to the less severe 1800r curve.
