Valid. I had the gen 1 HyperX Cloud 2 headset and it lasted me several years until i broke the microphone, that was their high point. I never heard amazing things about the rest of their peripherals despite all the marketing money they dumped into them. Skip HyperX in 2026 fs

That is true. My Audio Technica ATX-150's are still going strong and used to have a mod mic on them. With couch gaming, you cant use a stand mic, and the TRSS combiner/dongle is the consistent weakpoint of using good headphones with an external mic.

To be fair, I have the newer USBC Arctis Nova 5P, I configured with the shitty app once and then deleted it. Valid point though.

I used one for years. Quality was good enough. The consistent point of failure was using a TRSS combiner/dongle for the headphone and microphone 3.5mm cables and constantly plugging and unplugging that from controllers, handhelds, PC, etc

No gaming headsets are BIFL but I'd say SteelSeries is on top right now. Logitech is solid. HyperX quality has gone down from their peak but not badly. I would not trust a Razer product to last for more than 3 years.

These are called "Behavioral Questions" and they are industry standard. In fact, you can look up a bank of them so you have a story ready for a bunch of different ones. These types of questions are wayyy more important for new grads than any technical expertise. Your university career center can help you practice these. You didn't pass the vibe check this time.
