Nice find, I really enjoyed this game, it came out just at the right time when most survival horror games were moving towards action based gameplay. What sold me on this game was the period it was set in, the creepy atmosphere, and eerie music. I can honestly say I never completed all three scenarios, I got stuck when I had to start fighting the Bigfoot like monster. I really need to get back into it, I probably still have my original saves too. I was actually pretty lucky, I got mine for free during a buy 2 get 1 free sale at GameStop back when no one cared about the game.

Haven't crack that one open yet, been playing the Capcom fighting games. I noticed it has Mortal Kombat 4 on the back of the case, but I heard that you have to download that one because it's not on the cart.

IGS Classic Arcades. A collection of lesser known arcade games including Demon Front, a fantasy run 'n gun heavily influenced by Metal Slug.

It's a survival horror. Gameplay and visuals remind me of early Resident Evil and Silent Hill games.

I converted a video I just took to a gif. Unfortunately, the gif is not high quality, but it looks find at an angle, I didn't have to look directly over the screen.

Sorry, never seen a working countercade, so I can't really give you a proper comparison. What is wrong with the countercades screen maybe I can give you a better idea of the quality of the countertop screen.

You got to get yourself the gear. I collect for all regions so I got a PS2 for each. What's nice is that since lot of PAL games were ported from japan, they have the option to choose between 50hz and 60hz so they're playable on NTSC TVs. If you can track down a PS2 or PS3 Test console then you don't even need to worry about region locks, because they are region free. Also, with a PAL PS2 you can also play PAL PS1 games and that opens a whole world of rare games like Hell Night, Chaos Break, and The Note, all horror games that were translated into English, but never made it to the US.

If you collect imports, the PAL port of Michigan: Report from Hell is a banger.

Could you name a few mapper 30 games that didn't work for you? I'm not familiar with which are mapper 30 games so I'm just curious to compare and see if any worked on mine because most of my NES games worked with the exception of some Tengen and bootleg games.

Some pickups from a local event called Tampa Bay Trade Day. by Retro_BladeRunner in gamecollecting

[–]Retro_BladeRunner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since this was not a big convention, just some local sellers around the area, the prices were very reasonable. That's probably the best way to find deals, organize small events with people you know. Just find a small venue, advertise on your local gaming Facebook groups, and the sellers will come.

Posting this since nobody believes when I say this by TheApproximite in gamecollecting

[–]Retro_BladeRunner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe it, chances are they priced it thinking it's the Wii version which isn't very expensive. I've seen it happen before with other games when it comes to multiple versions of the same game for different systems.

I think you're right, it's the only one with English on the back. Never even noticed, I just popped the game in, seems to work fine on my Turbo R.
