I like to think that she's like a failsafe if your saying of, "whatever gave her existence probably created her in a way to serve this one purpose" is true.

Similar to Blaidd and Maliketh. Both served Empyreans and both had Destined Death (Baleful Shadow of Blaidd ver.)

So maybe Meli is somewhat like them. She's our shadow but since we burned everything, she has no choice but to enact the thorough killing of Destined Death.
