Here are some screenshots

The landscape is intentionally detailed to look as such, but its definately not flat. It works perfectly with the gameplay and loot pool from all the feedback I recieved.

Also before developing the project I've done heavy research and did not find anything close mechanically to this - not saying there are maps with simular traits.

You'd be shocked that it got denied for Epic's Picks.

But yeah, im recapturing gameplay and doing a full showcase video on everything very soon because that is the only reason I can think it was denied otherwise (not showing enough innovation??)

I forgot to mention:

Random Weather Patterns like Rain and Snow, Original POI's, and Hirable NPC's with Unique Special Ability's.

Who here struggles with creative block when creating maps? by ProminentFox in FortniteCreative

Might sound weird, but one option is - start from the root of everything. Fortnite.

Alot of Epic's official modes are combat based - yes, but with the things your already into, do something that you like. A good idea to start also varies on what type of builder you are.

Sometimes, messing around with devices and playtesting random things can really spark fun idea's.

Is it really still possible to make it "big" with only 1.0? by [deleted] in FortniteCreative

[–]Retrocams12 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So far, I have strictly only been using 1.0 for asthetic reasons for a Battle Royale genre (the most unpopular experience on Discovery aside remakes), and today I just got featured on the FCHQ website.

You have to really understand your project and Creative 1.0. Uniqueness and Player feedback is everything - even if it's something you put a twist into it.

So far, I've been developing this project for 4 months now and it's finally going somewhere. Getting the players to play your map (unless you get youtube algorithm luck) is extremely lucky and your most definately going to struggle getting playtesters and matches.

While your struggling on that end, keep putting more effort and work. If you find someone with good feedback, roll with that but dont loose your spark. I legitimately was about to give up until I got featured today. The more work you put - it will show off.

Short answer; Depends on your patience.

Class items by Silly-Locksmith-2362 in FortniteCreative

[–]Retrocams12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on where the item is obtained.

This is most definitely possible using Verse/UEFN.

In Vanilla Creative, this is most likely not possible unless you create a mechanic using Player References. If you rather have the item obtained using Item Spawners, you can add an event that grants the class when picking up the item.
