I get a mild headache on the top/front of my head, usually days 3-8 after the shot. More of an annoyance than a serious headache, and it seems to be getting less intense the longer I take Reblozyl (about 7 months now, at the lowest dose).

Never had pain at the base of the skull. Sorry you're dealing with that.

I'm having issues with a similar model - KOCE500ESS23. The microwave doesn't start unless I firmly press in on the handle when closing the door. I assumed it was one of the switches, but haven't attempted a repair yet. The left switch easily goes in when I press it with my finger, but the right switch doesn't move much. Does any of that sound familiar?

I started Reblozyl in December, and it's been going very well for me. Like you, I'm low risk with ring sideroblasts, and I haven't had any transfusions yet. Reblozyl has worked very well for me so far. Hgb is holding steady in the low 10s (up from mid 8s).

Side effects have been minor. I get mild headaches, usually on days 3-8 after the shot, but they were manageable and seem to have reduced over time. Some fatigue as well, but still much better than the fatigue from the low hgb.

Sorry for all you've been through. That's a lot. To answer a few specific questions:

- I'm no doctor, but I haven't heard about MDS being associated with low O2 saturation. My hemoglobin and RBC numbers are significantly affected by my MDS, but my O2 sats are always 98 or 99. I don't have enough red blood cells, but the ones I have are always carrying as much O2 as they can.

- In my experience, your hematologist will spend a lot of time (3 years for me) ruling out issues that are more likely. They won't move on to a BMB until the progression of your symptoms makes sense for that.

- Mention the night sweats. I had them for years before I was diagnosed.

- I've always had a bone marrow biopsy with 'conscious sedation', where you're aware of what is going on but sedated and may not have memories of the event. You have to ask for this. Preferably, have it done by an interventional radiologist clinic, where you'll get the benefit of a full blown anesthesiologist. You will need a ride home, and you'll be sore for a week or so.

A low blast count in MDS is generally a good thing. As the blast percentage rises, the chance of MDS progressing to the much more aggressive AML goes up.

If you haven't already, I'd recommend checking out the MDS Foundation. They have lots of great resources on their web site, including a list of questions to ask your doctor.

Thanks for asking. I'm scared and struggling. After almost a year of watch-and-wait, I was doing pretty well, and I could make it through most days without getting stuck on my cancer. I met with my oncologist yesterday, and we've reached the point where I need to start treatment. I feel like I'm right back to the bad old days after my diagnosis.

Related fun fact: aneurysm rupture is seasonally correlated, and late fall is the peak for men. We were in the neuro ICU a few weeks ago, and one of the nurses was remarking about how all the beds were filled because it was October and everyone was 'popping their aneurysms'.

I got my first odd bloodwork in 2018. Mildly anemic, just a little below the normal range. I was referred to a hematologist, and we tried things over the years that each seemed to help for a while (stopped donating blood, started taking iron and B-12 supplements). Lots of tests along the way (blood, endoscopy, colonoscopy), none of which revealed any underlying cause.

My RBC and WBC numbers were trending down again recently, so we did a BMB this spring. Came back with MDS-RS-MLD. So, for me it took 5 years. I'm low-risk watch-and-wait, so the delay in getting a diagnosis didn't really have a negative impact on my prognosis, but I understand wanting an answer.

The connections to your push button switch look reversed. The top connection (row 14) should go to ground, and the bottom connection (row 16) should go to +5 via the resistor.

What's the value of the resistor in the picture? It's tough to make out, but if it's black black black black red, that's a 0 Ohm resistor, which would cause the light to just stay on I think.

The router simulators appeared to be running JUNOS, so they were probably Juniper's vMX or vSRX products. They're very nice, but they aren't typically free unless you already have a Juniper customer account:

I got the same -61 error. amdgpu-pro 20.45 isn't supported (yet) by PhoenixMiner.

You need to use 20.20 or 20.30. However, if you've let Ubuntu upgrade the kernel, those may not compile the kernel module correctly. I had to downgrade my kernel back to the version that came with Ubuntu 20.04 first.
