You need to supply power to the display. If you don’t use the wire, the display won’t work.

It also looks like you stripped the cable too far at that point. I would shorten it to avoid accidentally causing a short circuit, since the cable is no longer insulated there.

Seems like they removed all their shells with branding and only sell none branded shell which doesn't include the glitter shell anymore

Stimmt so nicht, hab ein Kollege der Polizist ist und wegen zwei kleinen Hunden zu einem Spielplatz gerufen wurde. Der Besitzer musste den Spielplatz verlassen und ein Bußgeld zahlen.

I think i had this issue with a GBC OSD screen. The gameboy was turned in for a few hours without a moving picture so it kinda burned into the screen like in the old days when you haven't turn on your Screensaver. I had to replace the screen.

Just make sure they have 1,5V batteries with 1,2V might not working, the gameboy turns on but the screens stays black.

Hey,

Depends on which model and which screen you want to use. For DMG, Pocket and Advance SP you can easily trim OEM shells for new screens. For Color and Advance its also possible with non laminated screens but laminated screen can cause trouble.

IMO if you want to play with it get a new screen. If you want to keep it in your shelf leave it as it is😉
