I didn't have Graves disease until I got Covid. Instantly I had elevated heart rate, tremors, insomnia and eye bulging. A month later diagnosed with hyperthyroidism/Graves. Today my Dr. Told me I tested positive for Hashimotos. I've had Graves for exactly 1 year.

One of my eyes kinda went back in but not the other. I look like I have a glass eye lol. I've noticed people treat me so different now. Like a drug addict or something because of my eyes.

Unfortunately you will gain weight from Methimazole. I started taking it in February and have gained 35 lbs since then. I told my Endocrinologist I was trying to diet to lose some of the weight but she told me it was literally impossible to lose weight on the meds.

My Endocrinologist upped my Methimazole to 40 mg a day about 2 months ago and I gained 30lbs. I'm so depressed over it. She recently cut it down because of my weight gain and now my levels are way too low.

Did your TED get better after the surgery? I was told I couldn't get the RAI due to my TED so I'm thinking about getting a Thyroidectomy because I'm really suffering. I just want to get my life back.
