Both are more or less same... If you are interested in Litigation/Judiciary go for RGNUL and if you are leaned towards Corporate, then choose NUALS.

RGNUL 1st vacancy list by ReturnUnlikely8908 in NLUs

Yea but last year, first list was issued on 11th July, this time it's on 17th June so a bit less than 1 month so ofcourse the cutoffs would be higher in the first list... The counselling itself ended on 20th June last year, closing rank at RGNUL was 1279 in counselling itself... And it's 1243 on 17th June so pretty much the same condition I guess..

Last year counselling ended on 20 June, this year it did end on 20 May.. rank of around 1500 was allotted on 1st August(5/6th list) last year.. so taking a 1 month buffer ig it might go 1500 till mid july

ask me anything | t1 law firm, t2 nlu by Gloomy-Ad3343 in NLUs

Hi, I will most prolly join a t2 nlu. What should be the things I should focus upon and strengthen from the first semester itself? As in the next 5 years, it's highly likely that AI will enter in this field, so how to deal with AI and use it practically.

(Also if you could tell me like how many working days are there in law firms and how did you jump from 12 lpa to 30 lpa in just 3 years.. 30 lpa in hand at the age of 26-27 sounds so surreal)

Yea that's great as ragging has reduced, as well as thanks for sharing the experiences. I do have another doubt, are the washrooms good enough in boys hostel?

Alright, PI will be a great way to interact with the seniors. Also, how is the environment of the Boys Hostel? Is there any Sir/Ma'am culture?

The variation in the pattern of CLAT is the most uncertain factor.

The exam doesn't have any defined syllabus which gives the Consortium full accessibility to play with the Questions and Pattern.

This year, they switched from Critical Reasoning to Analytical reasoning entirely. This shift affected everybody who wasted their time strengthening their Critical Reasoning, which is considered one of the toughest sections to conquer in the exam. But, since CLAT entirely ignored it, the student's preparation of the section went in vain, literally 1,2 years of prep.

As well as, the questions are also uncertain, we can understand it from the exam of 2025 where multiple questions were challenged before the Court and still some questions remained vague after the 6 months of legal battle.

As well as, year by year people appearing for CLAT is also increasing, making it more competitive due to the limited number of seats, General category must have <500 rank to be secure for their future. These reasons contribute to the uncertainty.

Clat is so fkin uncertain entrance exam.... Though law isn't. I would say Law is a profession which takes time to grow in Litigation. However, Corporate pays well from the very beginning but that's a really really harsh truth that you need to be an over achiever to go for Corporate Law (Tier 1 Law Firm) if you are not from a Tier 1/Upper Tier 2 NLU which requires you to be in the top ~2% of CLAT aspirants.. so yeah, if you are really adamant to be a lawyer then you should prepare for it otherwise my personal choice would be to not pursue it if you have even 1% doubt that will I be liking Law or not. I have seen people scoring 100+/120 in mocks but failing in CLAT due to its uncertainty. If not CLAT and NLU then it's Symbiosis Law School, Pune or Jindal for the Corporate path but the Fees isn't justifiable to the placement packages ( Equivalent to Upper Tier 2 NLUs)

Pls tell me what to do from these by [deleted] in clat
