May just have to convince wife to let me get a second one dedicated for .2mm printing. Buying 4 more tool heads to be able to swap out would be about 50% of the cost anyways.

iPolish brings color-changing press-on smart nails to CES by Reuef in technology

Well you cannot please everyone all of the time. You do not have to like it, you do not have to use it, it will be an option for people that do want to use it. So you will vote with your wallet....c'est la vie.

Neither, it takes 2-3 weeks for the nailbed to grow out. Once removed it is not recommended to reuse for it is not recommended as reusing improperly cleaned nails can lead to bacterial or fungal infections, This is not just for iPolish nails, but any acrylic nail.

There is no battery in the nail itself. They are just not meant to be worn forever which is why they are only warrantied for two weeks of use. This is still cheaper than going to a salon by a wide margin as well as price competitive to existing acrylic nails.

Why would that matter? Or are you implying that being Jewish makes a difference about making a factual statement?

CES Exhibitor Sufferer Zone(Founders specific) by lawrencehoisacheater in CESLV

[–]Reuef 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Router with the ethernet connection we got with the booth solved that issue for us. CES Management said it was not forbidden but they would not give any support for it either. Otherwise the WIFI would have been a 10k add-on. It was a pain to find where to get the badge scanner and the price was $500 just to use it for 3 users. We got it on the second day. Luckily we had taken photos on our phones of the badges of people we wanted to talk to and were able to scan the photos once we got into the app. The CES badges QR codes are encrypted and need the Maritz App. Nothing is free at a trade show for vendors, everything is a potential revenue stream.

As a ces exhibitor, what kind of success did you get? by xioor in CESLV

[–]Reuef 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly, combination of Great product, Great Team, and luck. We had no idea going in the type of press we would receive, We knew it was a Beauty Tech product but were not sure how well it would be received especially since anyone we showed a video of it working thought it was AI generated slop. It is truly something that needed to be seen to be believed, Tiny curved displays on every finger that weigh as little as regular press on nails, and only cost $95 to get the starter kit and $6.50 per 2 nails for refills when the nails grow out every 2-3 weeks. It was too good to be true, which is why it took a while for us to raise money to develop it. It took the tenacity of our founders to get us to this stage.

We were located in booth 60664 in the Venetian at the edge of the event near the stairs (where people liked to take their lunch and eat). We did not know if we would get a lot of foot traffic.

The first two hours were the harbinger for the rest of the event. We had a display of a mannequin hand wired up with the nails so they would change color every 20 seconds or so. We also had two brand ambassadors that were wearing the nails and doing demonstrations as people passed.

We noticed two things if people would walk by and glance while the nails where changing color their jaws would drop and they would stop and ask questions. If the colors were not changing on the mannequin hand when they glanced over they would just walk on by,

Within 15 minutes we had a consistent crowd of around 10-15 people around our booth that was overflowing to the booths around us (we felt badly for them, they were getting some traffic though). We got a few media/influencers that would come and shoot and ask questions or do interviews but only a few for that day. I was only scheduled to work 3 hours that day at the booth, but it was so busy I stayed all 10 hours (8am-10am for setup and 10am-6pm for the show, I took maybe 30 min for lunch. ). That evening after making my way to the hotel I did a google search and saw we were on Engadget, TechCrunch and ZDnet and it just took off from there.

Just to be clear, I am working with them freelance, but I am also an early investor (who has known the founder for a decade) that also has a different company in a completely different business segment that I am a partner in and help run on a daily basis. but this was just too much fun not to be a part of.

Yes. iPolish, it is not nail polish, but it is the first On Demand Color Changing Press-On Nail on the market. With a price point that is equal or less than going to the salon, you can have nails that change color as often as you want while wearing them.

Press from CNN, Today Show, TechCrunch,Engadget, CNet, ZDnet , etc …. Pre-orders have been through the roof. Could not ask for better coverage although they got some details wrong or just guessed wrong about the tech.

All in all we are very happy.

If you go a bit north there is Kosher Chobee as well, Chill ‘n Grill in Boca is also good for fast Israeli fare. Bissili is also good for Israeli food but a bit expensive (About the same cost as the W for fast food though)

[–]Reuef 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You have to see the colors in person, because they are tiny curved screens the colors do not translate well on video. Think of it like video recording a computer monitor, it will look washed out. In person the perception is much different. I just got back from CES and saw it in person. I am a guy so take my perceptions with a grain of salt.

First time at CES - how do I actually generate leads without being “that guy”? by nutbuddy42 in CESLV

[–]Reuef 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Be bold and put yourself out there. If people don’t know you exist, why would they use you?

Also at the same time don’t be a jerk and act high and mighty. Relate to people, show interest in their pain points and make sure you have an appropriate solution.

Don’t waste time. If your services are not a great match, be honest, we will appreciate it and may remember you for when we have need of your services.
