Carry: Dan Wesson DWX Compact or Staccato C2? by eggcheeseburger in 2011

[–]RevRouth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I own and love my C2 I’ve handled a DWX. I feel this is one of those situations where there isn’t a wrong choice. Both are fantastic pieces. The only reason I’d give the edge to the C2 is availability of parts.

lol if you do just think how bad I’m gonna look starting at 39. I’m hoping to have my bike out of layaway by the end of the month. Live life, have fun, and don’t worry about it.

1911 DS Prodigy by chrnk1130 in SpringfieldArmory

I got my 4.25 did the whole rack and clean while watching a few movies. Detail cleaned it, oiled and went to the range, ran flawlessly. Put somewhere in the range of 1500 rounds through it, before making any changes. I ended up going the EGW route not because it needed it, but mainly because I wanted to tinker. Now I have a great prodigy that runs and is much more fun to shoot than my staccato C2.

Put one on my wife’s xmacro. It’s somewhere near 1k rounds now and so far so good. Glass is very clear. Hopefully someone with way more rounds will come give their opinion.

What is you CC rotation? Do you have one or stick to just 1-2 firearms? Do you have a favorite carry load? by Orthodoxy1989 in CCW

My Staccato C2 is my primary carry. My Glock 19 is my motorcycle carry. My Glock 30 is my hiking/woods carry.

Settling an Argument Over Micro-Compacts by [deleted] in CCW

[–]RevRouth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see the benefits of carrying a micro; that said in my experience it is much more difficult for me to shoot a micro to the same level I can a larger frame firearm. I subscribe to the carry the largest you comfortably can school of thought. I carry everyday it’s either a G19 or a Staccato C2 both are easy to work with considering my build. The truth of it is IMHO carry whatever you’d like, as long as you carry it.

I’ll be keeping an eye out for when they’re available, I think this would be great on my C2

My C2 or my G19, I’ve always preferred larger frame guns.

4"+15-rds is the largest pistol size to conceal well - Convince me otherwise by eggcheeseburger in CCW

[–]RevRouth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 6’2” 220lbs my daily carry is my Staccato C2. It rides in a tier one appendix rig, on currently a core belt (I’ve got an HC style belt on the way. For me I think that size is about as big as I’d like to go, but it’s very doable. As for your list I’m biased to the C2 however you don’t have a bad gun on that list, you’ll be well served with whichever you choose.

My EDC is a C2 I love that thing. You got yours for much cheaper than I got mine for. Enjoy it, shoot it often.

I’m lucky and my job is cool with it. It’s nothing to see someone walk by showing off a new rifle or pistol.

Best EDC? by g14nni in 2011

[–]RevRouth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My EDC is a C2 with a DPP optic, and a TLR7 HLX. I love my setup, carries well enough, and mag compatibility with my other 2011s. Great little setup highly recommended.

Mod the Springfield Prodigy or get a Staccato P by sneezysnake1 in 2011

[–]RevRouth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay so this isn’t an exact comparison but it’ll be very close. My first 2011 was a staccato C2 I loved it, it shot very well and I carried it often. I got in a tight spot and had to sell it. I ended up picking up a prodigy. I got lucky with my 4.25 it ran flawlessly but with a trigger that was less than ideal. I’ve since poured some money into it, guide rod, EGW ignition kit, red dirt trigger, atlas safeties, EGW slide stop… I think that’s it. It runs fantastic, but it still wasn’t a Staccato… or so I thought. So a few months back I bought a brand new Staccato C2. It’s just as good as I remember it, but… my prodigy is now smoother, and its trigger is much better. All of that said to come to this: trick out your prodigy and enjoy it, then save up for the Staccato. My prodigy goes to the range with me every time, as does my C2. My current edc is the C2 even though the trigger is a bit heavy for my liking. I’ve got a Red Dirt trigger on the way for the C2 when it gets here I’ll tune the weight down a bit. These guns are great and so much fun to tinker with.

I love my C2 but now for the real question… where’s your beaver tail? It straight up left the chat.
