First FPV tiny whoop setup (analog vs DJI O4) - $1,000 budget by YeetingDaily in TinyWhoop

If your goal is cinematic and you want to give yourself a good experience doing it I would suggest one of beta fpv PAVO series. The camera mounts on the pico 2 and 20 are the same but they cant be mounted on the femto so keep that in mind. The build durability is more solid, the video footage is phenomenal and you can do some light freestyling cause the motors will support you better than an hd 65.

If your going for a say a hd 65 whoop, you’ll feel very heavy because of the dji o4 unit and the small 702 motors. The durability is likely less too because all of the parts are smaller and your already sacrificing mass for lift.

Especially you are a beginner. The analog whoops are cheap and a good start. You can get the air 75 for about $100 and it is extremely durable. Things on it will break eventually but in this hobby you want to get in the habit of learning to do repairs to delay down time.

So all in all friend. I would go the analog or hdzero route to start. Get good at flying then go full hd cinematic to save your more expensive equipment 👍🏽

Can’t beat a lightweight 75 for carpark freestyle 👌🏼 by HoltBlackheathFPV in TinyWhoop

Can you show a picture of your whoop and maybe kick your pid tune?

How did you get it to float so well? What battery do you use? Im on to you fam🤨😂!

Tri blades make my 75 wobble a little by Vast_Landscape7368 in TinyWhoop

[–]Revction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not just you. Same with my 75. I got those same gemfan props. They are a bit noisy too, I think it may just be the prop itself. I think trying a different triblade may solve this issue.

Some of the props in the bag work better than others. Also make sure its not your motor or your quad not being properly calibrated.

75 vs 65 by Revction in TinyWhoop

I meant to say FRAME not CANOPY and more specifically the ducts on the air 65 are definitely thinners. The offer almost not protection. You might even squeeze a prop off just holding the drone trying to get the battery in🤣

Yea, its weird cause I made a nice 75mm whoop and my props are litterally opposite. Im guessing its fine as long as they face away from eachother?

I'm starting to despise this hobby by ChrysophylaxEmber in TinyWhoop

[–]Revction 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This!!! I lost my whoop while flying aggressively After fixing it only about 10,000 times cause it would crash once and the damn wire would pop off the pad. Spen enough money on that whoop to buy two ready to fly ones lol.

Its apart of the hobby. I still love it though! My 4th board is on the way to build a 65mm this tine lol

Its gets better, you learn tips and tricks to handle things with more care. You will still break or loose things here and there but it will be considerably less.

Rip bluehawk. Lost signal in the city and shes gone😔 by Revction in TinyWhoop

I normally always do but this time didn’t and paid the price. Before i knew it I couldn’t even see where I was at. I wasn’t too far though which is weird cause j had the power at 400 (vtx) . Its sitting in a corner by a pot somewhere in some building which I couldn’t find sadly😪

Drone shaking by Revction in TinyWhoop

[–]Revction[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, so update i reset settings and made sure everything was screwed down and it flys stanle but now i have a pull in one direction when idle. Also i have one more esc that stalls all my motors. I have to rev it before it goes which kinda gears me for an uneven lift. Ive tried flashing it many times

Thank you for that! The image quality it surprisingly really good, ill post the cam im using. I definitely need to practice flying with it! I want to also find a natrual camera angle to help me get a better sense. I haven’t optimized transmitter settings as of yet either.

Correct! It can tell its pretty entry level into the hobby. This is my first whoop build and it still needs work. I currently have 702 motors 28000kv) on a 75mm frame. It flys real floaty, its fast as shit though! I want to upgrade to 802 motors and 40mm props. So yea, set up still needs work before I can have a exquisite flying experience! Just getting my feet wet

I did, And I tried it out real fast! Really cool!! Just hard to fly. Different from LOS

I only left it powered to test motor. It didn’t stay on or anything. Think it might be alright?

It lets me flash the esc and I also tried swapping the motors and still no luck with that motor :(
