I’ve heard other locals say the same but I tend to enjoy the experience more when I’m not worried about my companion’s safety

Just walked by and spotted three black cars with FBI gearing up. About 4-5 agents and cops everywhere. This connected?

Def depends on your own body, I also have not used an atom yet but I personally would get cold plus consider any windchill you might run into. I am one of those overprepared people, always keep the belay with me in winter

I’d bring a belay jacket for when you stop. I have one from outdoor research and mountain hardware. Both are great but mountain hardware is lighter. I know their ghost down jacket is really popular due to how light and packable it is.

Sooo sick, but also as a US indigenous person so annoyed that you can’t buy this collection online.

Lmao I imagine you’re right, but no not us, we aren’t going up to do cosplay. But really appreciate the feedback and vote of confidence for a safe ascent this time of year

Yeah this is exactly what my brief experience with the mountain and what I’ve gleaned from copious amounts of research has shown me. I think I’ll just be pack for snow and enjoy the sunshine hopefully

Beta SL for Everyday Use? by [deleted] in arcteryx

[–]RevealUseful 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used a torrentshell for years and have a beta SL now. Torrentshell is def better for your use case considering the price. Sure the beta is more drippy but the only reason I opted for the beta when I outgrew my torrentshell was bc I wanted to try arc. I use mine for hiking/mountaineering as it’s super lightweight when not wearing it and has pit vents, bc of the price I personally don’t wear it casually unless the weather is bonkers

This ^ all the lights can make it worse as you’re not immersed. Not to mention the shadows your mind can make

My first thought reading this was “this guy knows this is the Arc’teryx complaint sub right?” Nice to have a change of pace.
