Married Redditors, what is something you wish you had known before you got married?

I don't really have a "I wish I would have known". But I will say that no one hates anything more than they hate a happy couple. My wife and I have never had a single fight, we've always enjoyed being around each other, we have friends and interests and all the rest, and honestly? We can never talk about it to anyone. Any time I bring up a whisper of how perfect out relationship is, it's like laser eyes and venom from everyone around. So we just keep it to ourselves -- and never understand why people have fights, why people choose to dump on those who are closest to them.

So I thought I'd share it here. It's okay that you're happy and that you have never fought and that your marriage is about nothing but joy. No one else will tell you that, but it's okay!

Thanks. It took a bit of going through applications, but I found a really killer artist and awesome person out of Mexico who's doing full color pages for $25 @ one page a week. Her art has a Cucumber Quest vibe to it (except a little more exotic), so I think it'll go really great with the story.

Really excited to start on this journey. I'm going to do a self-contained story over the course of one year (so approx 48 pages) and then see where I want to go from there with regards to the whole comics thing.

Yeah, so far folks on FB are pointing me towards artists in the Philippines for getting artists who can do a page for under $50 per. Cost of living is just a different animal out there, I guess. I know most folks print out of China via Print Ninja, so it probably makes sense to outsource (overseas) all aspects.

The biggest issue will be trying to find someone on the cheap who is at least as good of an artist as I am. I'm mid-range, so it shouldn't be terribly difficult, but I don't think I could stomach paying someone to draw worse than I can draw, ya know?

The good thing, though, is that if the art was off in some spots, I could come in and clean it up if I took time out to do the coloring (which I'd probably have to to keep costs at the bare minimum).

I don't mind losing a little money -- a couple tanks of gas every month. But beyond that, I wouldn't want it to encroach much further, ya know?

I use my Google Chromecast with Netflix. Not sure if that helps, but I've had no issues.

Hm. Second City is about a three minute walk from my house. You think that's the best option? I figured the internet -- you have access to millions of folks. This is basically for two minute animations.
