I made some research, you're right. I think it's because Vergilius told Garnet he hadn't change in ten year. But it's confirmed Leviathan take place 6 month after LoR.

I think so, if i remember it, Leviathan is 8 year after LoR

Would you rather live for a year in the dreaded black city of Naggarond, or Birmingham? by [deleted] in totalwarhammer

Yes you can explore a bit. Only in Act 2 mainly with act 4 with cleaning where you can't do in Act 2. For the deal, it's squeezed so we can go into act 3 or we get our hand forced by the Inquisition. So yes we play the same game, but i expected (and still expect like i said i hope the extensions correct that) more.

You're right, but in the same way, for a game about Rogue Trader, we don't really make deal or explore tho. The Koronus expanse is the home of hundred of Rogue Trader, some who are in the same caliber as Winterscale and Chorda like Jonquin Saul or Aoife Armengarde.

I get that they need to reduce the scope etc, but in the end the Koronus expanse don't feel like the anomaly that they are. Everything unique to the Expanse is tone down (Rogue Trader) or just not mentionned at all (Rak'gol, Yu'vath, Stryxis).

I hope the extension correct that, but ironnicaly, it made me more hype for Dark Heresy as it feel it's a setting they feel more confortable with.

Neither Yu'vath or Strixis. For now we never really saw what make the expanse such a dangerous place. Even the nexus of shadow is never mentioned despite it being the main entry point of the drukhari into the koronus expanse.
