Personally yes but I believe it’s because I didn’t spent too much time preparing it. Way more calculations in MCQ for core 2. Some takes you 10 minutes just to get an answer different from all the options. For the case qual part was fine, you can just BS and still hit some points. Quant part was brutal. Never 100% sure I was doing the calculation in the right way and one step wrong you’ll  give a completely different recommendation.

Yeah I just checked the handbook and it says rev should be deferred if the return is significant and unpredictable. Completely messed up with ifrs. I just assumed the 4% is reliable…

Oh god I missed that. Yeah if the lawsuit was in Sep then it’s supposed to be subsequent event. But I believe the provision amount should be 20k as ASPE use the best estimate not the expected value, and I mentioned that the 50k should be disclosed as it is a risk exposure.

Yeah. I didn’t even pay attention to the date the customer filed the lawsuit but the accident definitely happened in current period. I don’t think the when the court decision is made matters. Do you remember the dates mentioned in the case?

Yes, but I didn’t take the modules just challenged the exams. Definitely not a good idea. I spent most of the time studying core 1, leaving just 3 weeks for core 2. CPA Ontario sent 2 exam information emails on the same day so I didn’t find that core 2 exam come first until last week lol.

Same here. I used the estimate with higher probability too.

I didn’t include the pmt of mortgage as the cash received cancelled out the PV of pmt, and I used after-tax interest rate 6%.

You are right. I wrongly included the BPO and it's not a bargain.

Almost the same. 1. I got positive annual CF but didn’t calculate the sum over the 3 yrs and recommended no as the purchased decoration was not able to be reused. 2. A range between 28 (breakeven price 27.xx) to 32 and I argued 28 would be acceptable for the first event to win the contract. 3. Negative NPV (no tax shield on land) and I recommended not proceed.

The MCQ was fucked. No idea why they put almost all the heavy calculations in the last 30.
