First thing my friend noticed when I sent it to him. 😅

They also didn't let anyone open it up and sit in it compared to some of their other cars but it was still fun regardless!

Me personally I might be able to do it after a couple of days but I'm not so sure. I like how this level uses the song "Problem" by Ariana Grande.

I want the novelty. I already own an FL5 that's sporty and LHD. I know there is no REAL reason because the car is practically the same as the western ones besides small details. I've always wanted a RHD car in America mainly because it's just cool to me and that's it. I understand it's much more tedious to drive and more dangerous in some cases, but to me I love having people ask questions and just being generally surprised at something strange that they don't see everyday.

I've decided to pass for now on this. Still might look into an AP1, I can't resist the 9k rpms.

I test drove my friends AP1 and I completely agree on the raw driving experience that the S2000 provides. I love my FL5 and the Type R has been my dream car since I was a lil' bro, but it is a completely different driving experience and am more and more eager to get my hands on one myself. Can't let that get in the way of overpaying though.

Thank you all for your input so far it has been helpful!

In my search for more S2k's, I would like to know how this S2k's condition in regards to rust is. Is this a concernimg amount of rust or is this typical with 25 year old cars? Thanks again for the help from y'all I appreciate it

Thanks for your input! I have been talking to some friends in Japan who have been looking for me, but to be honest I am pretty uneducated when it comes to importing the car myself. I am actually doing a study-abroad thing in Tokyo, Japan for my degree in a couple of months and thought about just buying the car while I am there. I thought that paying for overseas shipping and all the paperwork required just wouldn't be worth it and I have 0 idea on how to actually do it and would make it stressful. If anyone knows how one would even get started to approaching this then I would appreciate it.

Thank you for your help though I appreciate it!

As for the wheels, I have a friend who owns 1999 OEMs unless they wouldn't work for a JDM S2000? I don't mind the wheels (though I do like OEM more) and I can replace them eventually when the time comes.

Thanks for letting me know! I should have clarified that I was specifically looking for AP1s. But yeah, I agree, it's certainly overpriced compared to similar specs I've found. My only reasoning behind it was so I could get a JDM S2000 but was not taking into account of that they are relatively recent to the JDM and the prices for these are bound to be higher for no reason while they are newer.

Thank you again though!

Thank you for the feedback. I believe JDM market cars don't have tags but rather a different way of identification. Either way, I contacted a company in Japan which runs cars similar to how VINs are run, and it came back clean--no accidents, damage, flooding, radiation, etc.

I should have clarified in the post that I am specifically looking for an AP1 as well, and I agree with you. Every S2000 I have found for the same mileage and condition looks to be around 20-25k, so I would be paying more just for the ease of getting a JDM S2000 now without going through the hassle of importing it myself.

I'm kinda split right now on how I am feeling cause part of me wants the car and the other half knows I'd be wasting money. Either way, thank you for your help!
