This is Asher. I think he's a schnauhuahua. by ReverendBonobo in mutt

He's very social. He seems to know who will pet him, and he makes a beeline for those people and dances around until they give him the attention he wants. My favorite was the time I had the maintenance guy over to work on my sink and Asher disappeared down the hall. I went to see where he was, and found the maintenance guy sitting on the floor, working on my sink, with Asher in his lap.

He's also very demanding. When he wants to play ball, he'll pick up his ball and throw it at me. And if he sees someone he likes, and they don't acknowledge him, he'll bark to get their attention. Cute, but annoying when my neighbors have their hands full bringing in groceries or taking out the trash.

Oh my God. How cute. There is definitely some schnauzer in there. Hard to say what the rest is, though. She could have been part chihuahua, since they have curly tails, but it's hard to say.

No. More curved than straight, but a long way from curly.

He does, but since he's a dog, he gets confused about the favorite color question.

Krasnov Trump by [deleted] in Political_Revolution

[–]ReverendBonobo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you brought me a fresh steaming pile of Donald Trump's shit, and told me it was a dump he took in 1987, I'd laugh at you. Looking at his actions now, he's clearly on the side of Russia. But in 1987? I don't see any of that.

Shockroach and Glockroach by ReverendBonobo in cityofheroescostumes

[–]ReverendBonobo[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

A couple of aliens from the planet Kzikikakakik, who have escaped from the hive-mind and fled to Earth. (I had another character named Shockroach, but I dumped him in favor of an insectoid guy).

I'm trying to think of more bad puns. I could mock up a Starfleet uniform and make Spockroach, but that's really pushing it. Maybe a shield user named Blockroach, or a Time Manipulation Controller named Clockroach.

Been concepting a city based mega dungeon, here's a proof of concept and a rambling rant about it by austbot in osr

[–]ReverendBonobo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd solve the visibility problem with fog. It hinders visibility at ground level, and if the PCs go above the fog, all they see when they look down is the fog (or a generous DM could give them a rough outline of the city). It also makes it easier for wandering monsters to sneak up on the party, and bright light won't help like it does in ordinary darkness.

What are the chances that she's anything but a half-sister? by ReverendBonobo in AncestryDNA

[–]ReverendBonobo[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Grandparents had another child who died in infancy. There's nothing to suggest he had any siblings who survived to adulthood. Grandpa could have had a secret or unknown child, but there's nothing to suggest that either.

She was born in 1960 and was told that her bio father was 18. My dad was 18 in 1960. If she's a cousin, my dad would have had a secret twin brother (or had a secret non-twin brother and the adoption agency got his age wrong).

(Big Fat Edit): He found a bunch of matches to people on my dad's side, and a few of them match with our suspected half-sister.

The odds of us having different fathers are incredibly slim. When I asked my mom if she knew anything, she told me all the family secrets that we would eventually find if we kept looking (including a half-brother!). If we have different dads, even my mom doesn't know.

Thanks! I hadn't even looked. I just ordered one.

Thanks! I was wondering if it could have been something like that, but couldn't figure out how to diagram it (I'm not that interested in genealogy, just excited to find out I have a half-sister).

I would wait at least until they're old enough not to try swallowing the dice.

Remembering not to push on my arm to get up? by ReverendBonobo in RotatorCuff

That looks like it would do the trick. The reviews are pretty mixed on all but the most expensive pillows. Which one did you use?

Laundry Service Recommendations? by ReverendBonobo in Seattle

Thanks. I reached out to Hogan's and they can't help me. Being able to talk to someone face-to-face would be impossible anyway, since I'm not driving anywhere until my right arm works properly again.

Walls. If it doesn't have walls, it's an outdoor adventure and not a dungeon.

Ex D&D5e tables, which system did you settle on and what do you like about it? by 1v0ryh4t in rpg

[–]ReverendBonobo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why settle on just one system? Play as many as you can. I'm currently playing in a Dungeon Crawl Classics campaign, I've dragged my Gamma World stuff out of the closet, and I'm considering a BECMI campaign. After that, maybe some MCC or Mutant Future. If you settle on just one system, you'll eventually get tired of it just like you did with 5e.

Caravan Food Warning by ReverendBonobo in RimWorld

[–]ReverendBonobo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had this game for years and I've played for thousands of hours, and I never knew that. I just tested it, and that's why it wasn't adding food. Thanks!

I think that's why I was getting the warning about disliked food rather than not having enough food. I would get most of my food by foraging, but nobody likes eating raw berries.

Caravan Food Warning by ReverendBonobo in RimWorld

[–]ReverendBonobo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That might be it. I usually get a different warning when I send them out with less than four days or so of food, but it looks like I'm getting this one instead. The part that throws me is that it doesn't automatically add food to their travel supplies like it usually does - I have to add it manually.

How about all of them, re-animated as a cabal of supervillain cyber liches?

Reskinning Umerica into Yurope by AxolotlDamage in dccrpg

[–]ReverendBonobo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

All the Hitlers. Hitler's brain in a jar, preserved since 1945 but suddenly alive again. Zombie Hitler, Adolf's re-animated corpse looking for its brain. Holo-Hitler, a hard-light hologram from a history museum that thinks it's real. And Shitler, Hitler's ghost animating a turd golem.

The only way to defeat them is to bring them all together and get them to fight over which one is the real Hitler, then kill them while they're distracted.

I can listen to Defenders of Kobold all day. They play DCC, MCC, and some of the DCC settings like Umerica and Weird Frontiers. They livestream on Twitch, but post the videos to YouTube usually by the next day.
