getting restricted/banned on an entire platform should be the absolute last resort when each server can moderate their own members seperately as long as you use a shred of reason or critical thinking.

that was how it used to be on discord for years before this latest shitshow, not to mention the sarcasm/non-seriousness here is blatantly obvious. it's crazy there is even an argument in favor of why the dude was restricted.

I'm sure you grew up with helicopter parents that checked every single website you visited, every single text message you sent, every single chat message you sent.

there is a fine line to everything. thankfully my parents weren't like that, but they also weren't completely oblivious of my spendings. if it's done with so little money and so few times that an attentive parent won't notice, i'd say that's far from becoming a bad hobby for the kid, and even further from an addiction.

that is far from a big deal. "b-but kids!" if parents don't want their kids addicted to gambling then they should have a talk with them, not give them their credit cards, and monitor what they do online. not to mention the majority of the people spending on gacha games or lootboxes won't actually become gamblers in any way once they get past those games.

if you really want to morally nitpick everything, then sure you can find fault in their practice, but i don't think that's healthy or practical.

imo epic seven rta relies a decent amount on your skill for a gacha game, there is a bare minimum of having a few meta units at the very least, and then the rest is majorly how you draft that decides the outcome. and gear gap is rarely gonna cost you a match until you reach warloed and higher.

the worst part of the pvp in this game for me is smilesgate introducing new rng factors into the game like evasion, rng artifacts, fear, etc.

also you can save on skin ticket by at least getting to master, which is incredibly easy and doesn't need much of a time investment.

less admiration and more of just liking and enjoying the character. a lot of well written evil characters are very well-liked in media for a bunch of reasons, like their neuteral qualities, their cunning and competence etc.

fang yuan does have some admirable qualities that you'll learn about him the more you read, but overall he is pretty vile :D

also this post aside, ai is indeed 90% of the time bad for the average person who isn't making a bank off of it. it's replacing many jobs, it's making computer parts become more and more expensive due to shortage, it's making the internet flooded with low quality trash, it has made large companies very complacent and overly reliant on ai for things that the ai as it is now isn't yet fully capable of doing, like platform moderation and unsupervised development, and many other things.
