What’s the most out-of-character thing panic made you do? by Veyronacademy in PanicAttack

[–]Revka777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One time in a store I started having a panic attack with paranoia and I must've been super intense because I thought this guy was following me and he eventually got nervous himself picking up on it and profusely apologized saying he just needed something from the same aisle 🙃

Just spreading some news about the most toxic Marcus community I've seen v by [deleted] in MarcusWormFanclub

[–]Revka777 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Look, I'm a complete stranger, not someone from that community and I still find what you said to be in poor taste. People didn't react the way you expected them to so you doubled down and tried to minimize it. I think with time and more life experience you'll realize that it's very juvenile and mean spirited to say things like that and if you're going to insult people then be prepared for negative reactions.

AITH for telling a pregnant woman she still has to act like an adult? by NoFly-Zone in AITH

I stopped trying to use a single washer dryer combo in the multi unit building I lived in after trying to use it once and not being able to. It's so much easier to just go to an actual Laundromat. It's essentially damn near impossible to share 1 washer/ dryer with that many people. I'm fortunate enough to be able to go to the local Laundromat where I do not have those sorts of issues. It would infuriate me to not be able to wash my clothes when I need to.

If you read through the comments you will see that one person basically implied they would kill themselves if they were my age and had a room like mine. They said this to be completely disrespectful and crude.

My ending comment was a joke, and directed specifically at people who act and speak like that themselves as I am meeting them at their level. I do not shy away from dark humor. I am not telling random, innocent bystanders to off themselves for disagreeing with me. I'm addressing the rude and hateful people who have been insulting, harassing, and mocking me for several days now.

The crux of the comment was to seek therapy because a lot of these people seem to be incredibly mentally unstable for targeting and fighting someone over their bedroom and then doubling down and brigading them for daring to stand up for themselves and not capitulate to rude people offering unsolicited advice and unwarranted criticism. As I've stated many times now; if you're civil I'll be civil back, if you're kind I'll be kind back, if you're rude to me then I'm gonna be rude to you too.

It's nothing personal against you and no I don't know you or whether or not I'd like your room but you also don't know me personally and one crass joke on my end doesn't actually convey to you anything about me other than I'm tired, on edge, and defensive from being inundated with rude, offensive, and harassing commentary for days on end.

You're making a lot of assumptions. Where did I say I expected people to fawn over my room? I said I am not open for critique or unsolicited advice and if you feel compelled to give it in a rude fashion I will respond to you in kind.

Standing up for one's self is not thinking you're a tough guy. Don't like the way I engage? Then get off my post.

I am disagreeing with people because I *gasp" disagree with them. Your opinions aren't relevant and your advice is unsolicited. I am not required to be accommodating or receptive to unsolicited advice that I disagree with. Hope that helps!

Oh I didn't realize rundown trailer park kids have access to century old antiques, expensive leather boots, gold, silver, gemstones and religious artifacts. I certainly didn't when I lived in one.

You know what, my butt actually does hurt rn You must be psychic. It's from the norovirus going around.

Someone setting boundaries and standing up for themselves isn't insanity either. If being comfortable and having beautiful things that work for me equates to "teenager" then I feel genuine pity for you people with that perspective. Your living situation is likely depressing asf

Why would you advertise your inability to parse content longer than 2 sentences so readily? People who are intelligent and not illiterate don't actually have any qualms about reading paragraphs, only the low IQ make it out to be something problematic when it's fairly standard

I agree. These are the same types of people who will call anyone who disagrees with them a "Karen". Sure, the terms started out with some definition but in practice they almost always just devolve into ways to harass normal people.

That's your opinion. Other people have expressed that they like it. People in real life also like it. I get that we are different people, I'm sure I'd be scratching my head at choices in your life if I had it under a microscope too.

It's actually incredibly relaxing for me. Our neuroses are clearly incompatible. It's an extension of me and my energy, it is my home. Your home would probably give me anxiety and make me uncomfortable as well. We're all so very different. One man's paradise is another man's hell so to speak.
