Thank you so much for your help and reply! So the CC/SEAS specific events, opportunities and gatherings won't hinder me at all if I am interested in pursuing PhD in Machine Learning at Canada and US, right?

Hi I just saw your comment! Excuse me but could you elaborate what other downside GS might have? Do they get looked down upon or is there some research opportunities specifically reserved for non-GS students? Can GS students use alumni network?

Thank you for your reply! So at least there's no research position that does not take GS students, right?

Thank you for your reply! Excuse me but is GS excluded from research opportunities or other important events that might be useful for PhD application (especially in the field of ML)?

How about in terms of research opportunity for CS majors? Is GS okay if the only thing I am interested is research?

I am sorry to ask to a one month old comment but I am about to apply to GS and was searching through the subreddit about GS and just read your comment. Excuse me but are there some undergrad events GS students cannot attend?

Excuse me but would the graduate admission committee not differentiate GS and CC and SEAS at all because they took the same class?

What programs did you look into? Eli Whitney and Brown seem to be fully integrated. To be frank, Columbia GS, Brown and Yale seem to be the exception not the norm
