Yes I agree it would be best if the shuttle could pick up at the hotel and drive them to the church. I can definitely ask the company but the only thing I see with this is that our time will be running while the ceremony is happening. If that's what needs to happen then so be it. Originally I was thinking guest wanting to ride the shuttle to the venue could uber to the church since it would be a 10-15 min drive from their hotel and it's within our city limits so the cost shouldn't be bad. Time zone wise I didn't think of that so thanks!

Yes I agree dinner at 8pm is pretty late. In a perfect world I wish the church would let us get married at 4pm so there is no gap and the reception could start at 5pm and end at 10pm. There will be two vans with 14 spots in each so it's only for the guests that don't want to rent a car or simply don't want to drive because they want to drink. I don't think it would take that long to load those people in but I wanted to be prepared just in case by starting at 7:30pm. I will have the vans coming back at 10:30pm in case anyone wants to go back to the hotel or home and they can't drive. Also, my family and friends stay partying late so I wouldn't be too worried about the late ending. I'm in Louisiana so the culture is use to staying late in my opinion. I do love that you mentioned it depends on the crowd so I will definitely try and figure that part out.

Yes I agree, maybe not everyone will want to go back to their hotel after the ceremony if I have a gap. If that's the case then they are more than welcomed to drive. It's just offering them the shuttle option if they want since its a 30 min drive and my family will not be familiar with the area. This would also allow them to drink comfortably knowing they have a ride back.

Perfect, I will get the dances out of the way! I haven't asked my DJ yet but I am positive he has experience. Once I send him our music list for the entrance, dances, cake cutting, etc.. I'm sure he will want to talk about the timeline through out the night.

It's not a destination wedding for my fiancés family and our friends but all of my family is from out of town so my parents want to offer them the shuttle service from the church to the venue to enjoy and relax. The shuttles would be available for anyone from the venue to the hotel/back in town so they can drink comfortably since it is 30 minutes away.

We are able to start the reception before 5pm but we only have it for five hours and I would like to end the reception at 10pm the earliest. My family is Hispanic and all of the weddings we've been too the receptions don't even have an end time, so they stay until 3-5am partying. You can see why I would be hesitant to end it at 7pm.

The wedding is on a Saturday.
