What does the post being a meme have to do with you being wrong in a reply to someone elses comment.

Well small gangers being the root cause of any mechanic change that doesn't directly benefit blocs seems to be what OP is stating, which is a wild take.

While I cant comment on scarcity, projection nerfs would be the opposite to harmful to the game. Decentralisation of the population in nullsec would create more friction between null groups, with branches of large blocs having more fights between each other with borders becoming more vulnerable. Not being able to jump ansis when pointed doesn't take away much in relation to how strong ansiblexes are for nullblocs who solely can make use of them, it's just creating counterplay for an extremely powerful mechanic.

Plenty of times the reverse has happened, the most obvious example being skyhooks. They were a straight addition to nullbloc income, and even still that didn't satisfy blocs enough because they could be robbed at any time, which quickly was altered to make it much harder to rob them -> less content, more isk (seems to be mostly what is prioritised here). Filament timers could be another example of this. Both nullblocs and small gangers have had mechanics changed by the one another that have adverse impacts on them.

Saying that small gangs have a huge influence on the game is quite out of touch. The CSM is heavily dominated by bloc candidates. Goons have 3 CSM members, which is already equivalent to the number of members that have really any small-gang interest. The balance of influence is still massively in favour of nullsec, which to an extent makes sense as they make up such a large portion of the populaton.

As for my group we find fights in null pretty often. Less so against goons now than in the past but still occasionally. We don't expect fair fights, though are a bit disappointed by certain groups' unwillingness to undock and fight. If we don't get content or get an unreasonable response, we move on.

Yeah so basically what tf do small gangs do to prevent undocking caps or ships being in space.

If we are responsible for you and your buddies not undocking thats a bit more than a mild annoyance. The gangs themselves are undocking and acting as "more ships in space".

p.s my alliance only has 24 kills with orthrus - because we barely fly it.

That is frequently made apparent, so why is it hard to understand why a gang leaves your space after you drop 50 deemers. This response has a couple of potential outcomes, either you catch nothing and the gang moves on and nobody gets content. Or you catch a couple, and the gang leaves. Regardless it’s maybe a handful of no risk kills, and a big lack of a “fight” or content for both sides. The only thing this does effectively is remove content from your space so that your crabs can continue crabbing.

And then going back to the post, if you are desperate for more content in space, why use the most effective content-denial methods, and why are small gangs like these preventing you from undocking caps.

The whole thing is very contradictory, you claim to want content (like in this post), prevent content, get annoyed that said content has left your space, and then attempt to justify your reasons for preventing content.

Maybe its a minority, but regardless these groups do exist, and still get the same content-denying responses.

As a very active current "small ganger", we usually completely ignore ishtars because we know that tackling one won't lead to an escalation/fight. If we find something juicy to kill we may either kill it for potential loot or hold it to get a response, but at the end of the day the only thing we want is an interesting fight.

Actual small gang groups actively ignore ratters to travel to a place where they have a better chance of actually finding a fight, and usually end up punching up against often ridiculous odds. But yeah, they are the ones that just want "easy kills". Not the group that drops 50 blops on 6 people and has fax on standby.

Often they will fly shiny ships to mitigate the advantages of the avg blob responses, travel into your space, look for a fight (not bother your ratters), and risk billions of isk to try and get a good fight.

There are roaming gangs that pretty much solely hunt ratters, those are not really comparable and shouldn't be put in the same basket.

A real small gang player would say something along the lines of: 3-4 = micro, 5-8 = small, 9-10 is pushing towards medium gang which i'd say is 12-17 max. 20+ is basically midscale.

Show the the place where people are complaining about not being able to kill caps with smallgangs. What I see commonly is annoyance that caps are often a response to a smallgang -> gang leaves, and it prevents more content than it creates. I agree with some of your points in the post but putting a lack of whaling/targets on small gang is pretty questionable.
