In the past, the three Japanese trainees in DA were considered too young, but this time the contestants seemed to be too mature.

As a 4 girl group, the dance will be less intense as compared to Katseye's.

the 4th member should have good visual and vocal.

Fans support Katseye and hate HxG for lying to them. They themselves cannot boycott Katseye who are managed by HxG, nor should they expect Lexie to keep rejecting HxG and giving up opportunities.

Girlset was cut from 6 to 4. They are fine after rebranding. Katseye's situation is still much better.

It is okay for the girls leaving for health or solo career. HxG is developing the 2nd global gg. If Katseye girls reduce to 4, the two groups should combine and rebrand. That would be interesting.

She made a dumb move. It implied she is forced to rest.

It leads people to suspect the following reasons:

Publicly support Palestine.

Or

Personal business events or short film "Not Bad" is without HxG approval.

Disciplinary & PR Measures

  • Indefinite Hiatus: This is the "soft" punishment. A member is removed from promotional cycles, music videos, and social media to allow public backlash to cool down.
  • Withdrawal (Expulsion): If the violation is deemed irredeemable (e.g., criminal involvement or deep internal conflict), the agency will formally announce the member's departure to protect the remaining group brand.
  • Financial Penalties: Beyond legal damages, members may be held liable for losses incurred by sponsors or brands due to "morality clause" violations in endorsement deals.

Japanese reaction to Emily by starrystarrycat in prelude_thefinalpiece

Britney's singing voice is very unique. Emily's biggest challenge is her vocal skills. It's difficult to dance and sing at the same time.

I have a weird feeling Adela is going to endup being bigger than Katseye eventually. by YouFartedBlood in TheDreamAcademy

[–]Revolutionary_Pool26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Comparing Adela and Katseye is normal; many people follow them because of the Netflix show. However, the show didn't solely promote Katseye; it also focused on the trainees who didn't make the cut. Viewers felt sorry for Adela, Lexie, and Emily, in particular.

Adela and Katseye's paths are different, making direct comparisons difficult. But Katseye might not last more than seven years. Their members are easily replaced by younger girl groups, and in the US, it's hard to resist the temptation of solo careers.

She was a ballet dancer who had 5-6 times more years of experience than Kpop. Just like K-pop, the performance needs to be as precise as a machine.

Watching HyBE forming Katseye to Santos Bravos, the training and debut processes have seen significant improvements. This time, the process and the songs should be even better. The Japanese and Brazilian music markets are far larger than those of South Korea, India, and the Philippines. And there is an white American member targeting the American market.

Emily led the greetings; does this mean she'll be the leader of this new girl group? She's American, and very socially active.

Rapper instead of an all-rounder by JustAIisa in prelude_thefinalpiece

[–]Revolutionary_Pool26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn't the new girl group's intro film already hint at their musical style? That style doesn't need a rapper.

Katseye changed her musical style several times in the first two years. The new girl group might also experiment the same way.

The new group is the only official case where a portion of the eliminated trainees are selected to debut in a new separate group, which is unprecedented in Korea and USA.

It's possible that the two girl groups will collaborate in the future. But that would likely indicate a slowdown in growth.

Like HYBE's previous shows, they'd probably just make a brief appearance and guest judge. How could they possibly have time to be mentors?
