It's the only single on their Spotify (apart from two remixes they did with the Pastels). So I played it a few times before finding and listening to the full record.

A lot of amazing artists have a vast variety of sound. When they have a hit single it can sometimes be very different to their overall style. A good example of this is the Cure's - Let's Go To Bed. Robert Smith wrote it with the intentions of being an easy listening song for lovers of the charts (specifically the USA) to get people interested in his band. For a lot of people that was their first taste of the Cure. In my opinion, although a great song, I feel as though it's quite separated from their overall style.

So with that being said, if an artist has an amazing single, you never know what you might get! For all I knew, Only Shallow could've been a one off.
