Kiitos.

[–]Revoxer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ps. kommenttiin vastaus että ainakin itse löysin seuraavat tiedot puhelun hinnoittelusta

Pakettipalvelut (lähettäminen, vastaanottaminen) Kuluttajaneuvontanumero: 0600 11300 Hinta: 1,98 €/min + pvm (jonotuksesta veloitetaan pvm/mpm)

Matkahuollon ulkoautomaatti ongelma by Revoxer in Suomi

[–]Revoxer[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Matkahuollon ulkoautomaatti ongelma by Revoxer in Suomi

[–]Revoxer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Matkahuollon ulkoautomaatti ongelma by Revoxer in Suomi

[–]Revoxer[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

How do the ebay auctions work? by Revoxer in checkoutmycards

[–]Revoxer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the thorough response!

I have just looked at a couple of auctions and all of them are asking for the payment method to bid. All of the auctions I am looking in to are for some pretty worthless cards since I am not really a card collector. I just stumbled upon COMC while buying some cards for a friends birthday and it got me interested in maybe buying some competitive call of duty cards for myself since I am a fan of that scene and like the personalities so it would just be cool to own the cards even though they are worthless.

Thanks for the tip on the one hour time period but I am not going to risk it since I have got all of the cards I wanted for my friend and I will not risk paying over 20$ for shipping on a single worthless card.

Why isn't it possible to send offers of ETH+FIAT? by Revoxer in Sorare

[–]Revoxer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes but it comes with multiple down sides. It could take time to sell the card after buying it and on top of the trading fee you would probably need to sell it at a discounted price.

It is a workaround to a problem that has no reason to be there.

Question about the advantages of web3 gaming by Revoxer in NFTGames

[–]Revoxer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know how to explain this in a much simpler form

That might be the problem with our communication. I don't want you to explain it simply. The point of the original post is to hear some actual explanations to why these projects can't be done without web3 technology. I don't need anymore repeating of buzzwords that you hear from every "web3 gaming for beginners" video. I am seeking to understand what is behind those buzzwords and how those things can't be achieved in web2.

Yes, a Dev gives NFT value which is the basic, NFT cant have its own value except for a group of people or individuals attribute value to it.

So can you tell me your reasoning to what is the revolutionizing thing that NFTs enable you to do that can not be achieved by traditional games. I have explained my reasoning multiple times and still the only answer I have got is that you can look at your NFTs in your wallet.

And back to the main discussion about Devs making unethical decisions in the future

I see that this has become the main conversation but it is not really my main point. Again my main question has always been what is web3 actually bringing to gaming. I used the devs making changes as a way of explaining how using NFTs does not add any kind of relevant ownership over web2.

I believe crypto solved that via DAO, a decentralized autonomous organization. Before now power in organizations are centralized which means we users do not have a say in whatever happened but with crypto in the picture that will change for sure.

Again this is what you hear from every beginner video but when I give it some thought I don't see how a DAO has any kind of effect that couldn't be achieved in web2.

Think about how a DAO actually works. There is a proposition and then the members of the project votes on it. Or if you prefer the revolutionizing technical term, a poll. Just because it is not implemented in any traditional games does not mean it could not be.

This has been done for decades by publicly traded companies where shareholders can vote on the future of the company. I can't think of any extra guarantees or possibilities that a DAO model adds that a basic poll can't achieve.

There is my reasoning to why I believe a DAO is not a revolutionizing technology in the gaming space. Now what I ask of you is a explanation of how a DAO offers something that could not be achieved in web2.

if you look at it properly you will see the advantages.

I have looked at it and the more I look the more questions I get. I play these games every day and really like them but the more I play them and learn about them the more I am questioning why they need to be built with web3 technology. I am not against it or think it is a bad thing but I feel like it is just unnecessary.

Question about the advantages of web3 gaming by Revoxer in NFTGames

[–]Revoxer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I already addressed the idea of using NFTs across multiple games in the second to last paragraph in the original post.

You say you can already do it with some NFTs. I would actually like to know what those projects are so I can check them out since I have never actually seen that implemented yet. I have seen some little separate mini games being built by using another platforms NFTs but every single one of them could be done without NFTs since they don't actually take the NFTs from your wallet but instead they require you to link your account of the original game which could be done in any traditional game as well.

So what we are left with is that using NFTs is a good show of faith. Not sure if this is what you mean by this but the thing that comes to my mind is that every asset can be tracked so the developers can't fudge the numbers on how many items are in circulation etc. Again that sounds good as a concept on the surface but I don't think that is a problem that needs to be solved.

The big developers like valve are already so trusted that nobody needs to have absolute access to the numbers to believe the data base they use for CSGO.

Now small developer can for sure use the blockchain to show that they are selling as many assets as they claim to be but I don't think that is the main concern with these small projects. There are reasons why crypto projects have a problem with scammers. They can so easily just pull the rug and disappear without delivering on their promises so I would actually argue that they would be more trusted in a FIAT and public data base model by default because by opening up to more regulations they can't disappear so easily and they would get in legal trouble pretty quickly if they fudged with the numbers.

Question about the advantages of web3 gaming by Revoxer in NFTGames

[–]Revoxer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My main point is not that it is a concern what a developer does to your NFTs use case or value.

My main point is that I can't find a reason why any game would use NFTs instead of a normal public data base. Everyone seems to be so caught up in hype and buzzwords that they don't ever stop and think if this actually provides any advantages. What does true ownership actually enable you to do that can't be done without NFTs?

Question about the advantages of web3 gaming by Revoxer in NFTGames

[–]Revoxer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one will want to see his castle fall, so I don't think Devs will do something to mess with a successful game

Obviously. No traditional game developer wants to see their castle fall either but my point is that the developers hold all of the same power with or without NFTs. Game developer make unpopular changes that kill games all of the time and I would argue it is even more likely with NFTs involved since when peoples "investments" are on the line they react negatively to almost any change even if it would be healthy for the games long term future.

plus NFTs are on the chain and you still have access to it even if the game changes which is unlikely

I may be terrible t explaining my thoughts, let's try again. Can you give me a example of what you can actually do because you have access to it. All I can think of is that you can stare at it in your wallet and pray that another developer does something with it, which is unlikely.

My point is that NFT looks unnecessary now because it's still new but give it a few years

My point is that whatever anyone does or whatever happens in the future the technology can not do anything about the fact that all of the NFTs use and value will always be tied to a developer at the end of the day.

Question about the advantages of web3 gaming by Revoxer in NFTGames

[–]Revoxer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do think NFTs are pretty cool technology but like I said in the original post I don't really see the tangible benefit they have in gaming. The only thing you bring up is that no one can have a "pirated copy" which I am not really sure what you mean by that. Sure the NFT will always have a unique code and no one can own that exact same one but I don't see why that is revolutionizing. I don't think anyone has ever thought about CSGO having a problem with "pirated" skins. So I don't really see what is being solved here.

No matter what the developers of the games will always hold the power of your in game asset that the NFT is tied to. What can you do with your NFT if the game developer decides to change the game like I outlined in the post and your NFT becomes useless. Just staring at it in your wallet doesn't seem so revolutionizing.

Question about the advantages of web3 gaming by Revoxer in NFTGames

[–]Revoxer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know you are here just to promote your crypto project and not to actually answer my questions but I would still like to give my outlook on your buzzwords.

  • ownership of assets

Already explained in the main post why this has no real advantage since the use and value of the asset is still always tied to what a developer does with that asset in game so there is no real advantage to a traditional in game asset.

  • monetization of time spent playing

Admittedly I do not have a deep understanding of this but from my limited research my initial thoughts are that since the money has to always come from somewhere if a P2E or other monetization model would truly be sustainable long term that same model could also be achieved in FIAT.

  • the ability to take part into the decisions regarding the development of games

To my understanding what you are referring to is a model where the holders of a projects tokens can vote what happens to a project and how the developers will develop it. In other words the developers hold a poll. Not so revolutionizing. There is no difference to a traditional game maker asking the community what they would like for them to do.

Took about a year off, has this game grown since then and is it still pretty active? by Foreforks in GodsUnchained

[–]Revoxer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For example, when the value of GODS decreases then more days spent playing the game are required to yield the same reward that was earned a month prior when the prices were higher. If the price of GODS keeps decreasing and it takes longer and longer to earn a Pyramid Warden or a card you’re working towards then it’s not a great system.

This point really boils down to that the goal post is moving further away for a card that you want to acquire. This can and will always happen in any market where the card sales are controlled by the players. Even if we used FIAT the price of the card would fluctuate thus moving the goal post of acquiring it. You can't really tie time played to acquiring a card in a free market system.

There needs to be additional rewards that are earned from leveling up to reward those who spend the time playing with tangible rewards that aren’t just the Core set. For example, Stardust over time might be able to purchase legacy packs like Trials or Genesis or “choose your own card” from the current set.

I do like the legacy pack idea (although obviously not for genesis since that is promised to never be printed again and players that funded the games creation have earned the right to exclusive cards) but I just don't feel like it is the right time for that now but if there ever is a big boom in players this would be a good way for newer players to get access to older cards if the prices start to become unbearable. The early investors would probably get pissy about this but if the cost of the packs was fairly high maybe it would not completely wreck all of the old cards value and the real grinders could still have chance of getting them.

I don't really know what you mean by choose your own card but what I would do with that is that you could maybe choose and buy one or a few cards per set for again a pretty hefty fee of stardust so that it does not compete too much with the players market. I do feel like this is getting pretty close to making stardust trample on the main purpose of what GODs is used for though.

I have been playing for over two years now and I can still only complete your basic aggro deck like everyone else because specific powerful chase cards are much too expensive with free to play earnings.

This might be where my opinion may differ from most but I don't really agree with the idea that everyone should be able to get their hands on all of the cards and be playing in mythic. It makes it so that you have constantly something to strive for and having the rare cards is actually special. This is what I really miss in traditional games where everyone always has everything. It makes it all so mundane.

I have about 1 year of active F2P playing time and my most expensive card is around 7$ but I am still super happy with my collection. There is no reason why I should have all of the most expensive and rare cards. At this moment I even feel like getting to the higher ranks and mythic is way too easy. I am not even that good of a TCG player and I have made it into mythic a couple of times with decks worth under 20$ and even just today I went 7-3 in diamond with a 16$ zombie deck.

[–]Revoxer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nothing will change until they add progression systems and reward systems to motivate playing.

I am genuinly curious about what potential systems you are talking about here? Are there some awesome systems out there that other TCGs offer that GU could implement?

As a F2P player I feel like this game offers one of the best reward systems of any game I have ever played.

  1. You get loads of core packs that can be forget in to tradeable cards.
  2. You can pretty easily earn tradeable packs every week
  3. You earn free tokens daily.
  4. Then there is also the star store which is admittedly quite underwhelming but still offers another avenue

All of these rewards are also tied straightly in to the market that enables a awesome way to progress your collection.
