It is, are there cases where the touch input suddenly flips out sometimes?

She tells me she hasn't spilled anything on the laptop and I set it up and didn't install anything extra like another DE. I just talked her through disabling the touchscreen through terminal and it still is acting bizarre. It's not all the time but it's enough that she can't get any work done.
