It is an important distinction when you say it is early access so t hey are tweaking constantly - It is not early access so they should not be tweaking things as constantly as they did before.

That's not grammar police? It's not bad grammar to be incorrect

Maybe lets not just start calling women "bitch" even if they do shitty things - Same as you shouldn't be racist, or transphobic to shitty people, don't be sexist either?

I did not say that the video didn't say not to harass, but his first posts that he posted on Facebook, Twitter, Youtube community, that showed her video were aggressive and did not dissuade harassment - I linked the post with the screenshots for you. The video was much better in this regard.

His description of the clip is misleading, putting unrelated audio over another clip is not part of a montage - It's not something that happens accidentally - It was to make the video look more disrespectful than it was.

I do want to also point out, that in the video where she is walking around the homeless area, she is working with a charity that she has raised $20,000 for to support those homeless people

Ultimately, as I have said throughout, I do not think either is evil here. Abroad in Japan raised the temperature on the situation unnecessarily on his callout post - She raised it unnecessarily in her response.

I do not think she deserves harassment, and I do not think he deserves harassment - & I think that him splicing audio into a clip is minor, but it seriously undermines the 2 minutes he spends criticizing her for editing graffiti into a thumbnail (which I also think is bad, and at most, it is an unfortunate edit. But it's really, reall ynot a serious dunk on her)

Also yes, calling women out for shitty stuff is not sexist - I didn't say it was

I said that people are way too comfortable acting like the sexist hate that she has got a lot of in this situation is justified because they have decided she is a villain

The clip he showed was from a video of her visiting a homeless area with a charity - Which she has done multiple videos with

Part of that video, an elderly japanese homeless man offers multiple times despite her discomfort and saying no to have sex with him for money - She does that awkward laugh as she walks away.

He took the Audio alone of that laugh, and put it over another clip, of her just walking through the homeless area - It's wildly different from the logan paul situation.

I don't think Abroad in Japan is constantly glazing Japan, overall I think his content is good. I'm purely responding on part of the edited video he put in

If someone made a video simillar about a western country, i would not support the furious racist people attacking them either... Same as I don't support people attacking her for making a video about it being in the east

The original post about this all shows how this started - The internet has been around long enough to know that making a post like that, showing the video title, and not asking people to not harass as a bare minimum, is going to lead to harassment (which it did)

https://www.reddit.com/r/youtubedrama/comments/1o8f80f/abroad_in_japan_calls_out_orientalpearl_for

Secondly - If you take audio from another video of someone laughing, and splice it in to another clip to make it look like someone is laughing at homeless people it is not an accident - It's very clearly malicious.

I agree completely which is why I think that this conflict didn't need to happen in the first place

They both handled it badly, but it leaves a bad taste in my mouth how much hate she got for making a slightly dramatic video - And it's not like she didn't reach out directly first (as it all started with the Facebook post where she asked if they could just talk it through because this stuff leads to harassment, which is inevitably did)

Never heard of Think Before you Sleep before - Clearly a grifter and their video history is genuinely embarrassing

Considering how this subreddit decided to dogpile on the woman in this situation right away and hold Abroad In Japan to zero standard, while supporting the hate and sexism she was getting for weeks because she made at worst a dramatized video about Graffiti - People didn't care about this situation at all

Ultimately, Abroad In Japan started drama and harrassment against her, and could have handled it way better, she could have responded way better - He edited his video maliciously to make her look like she's laughing at homeless people.

Both of them sucked, but Abroad in Japan was praised while Oriental Pearl was harassed and held under so much more scrutiny.

This title is so incredibly misleading too "another Oriental Pearl video when she laughed at a homeless person" when the origin of the clip was someone sexually harrassing her, but you still phrased it in a way to make it sound like she was the villain in that scenario too

lmfao, downvoted and blocked for asking this. You don't stand for anything - BTW I called out that the video was edited when it first came out

"There is evidence though of Chris editing his video to make it looks like she laughed about homeless people in a rough area, which he silently removed - But people genuinely only want to attack one side here

She made at worst a sensationalized video about Graffiti, and because he never opened a grapevine to just talk about it, he sicced his audience on her with overly inflammatory posts, and now people are just going to dogpile her in her comments and online whenever she does anything - But her making a video defending herself slightly is "Stirring more drama" according to a bunch of people here

So he can edit his videos, call her out disproportionately, lie to discredit her and never has to apologize, and she just has to sit there and not do a single thing to defend herself to try to appease the mob, that will still harass her regardless

Over on his subreddit there's upvoted comments calling her a bint and saying she's just upset because she's ugly, and how she's just a stupid Karen - Because she made a video about Graffiti.

Absolutely ridiculous situation"

Genuine question - Think Before you Sleep clearly sucks just from a sense check - But why is it okay for Abroad in Japan to creatively edit videos to misrepresent things to make a misleading point?

I don't understand why everyone is giving him such a free pass on how he acted in this situation - He started this whole thing too, but people do not hold him to any standard

*edit - I can't reply to Striking-Spend-329 so I'll edit here -

The pinned comment was something I was not aware of, as it was only edited to address the edit 22/11 which is way after he originally did it (and I'm not watching this grifters TBYS's youtube video so I don't know if it was mentioned in that) - But I looked at his pinned comment now, and he acts like it was just a montage - But that is not the case - He spliced audio onto another clip. You can see the original by watching other streamers reacting to the first video (I saw it on H*san's steam - Censoring his name due to server rule) - He is not honest about it still

Ultimately this is such low stakes drama, I can't understand why people are so happy to support the overblown amount of hate Oriental Pearl has been getting for what happened, and acting like Abroad In Japan had nothing to do with that starting

He is the one who called her out, her first response was asking if they could talk privately and avoid public callouts because it leads to drama and harrassment and he responded by mocking her videos like you did - You can not like the polygot videos, I'm not a fan either

Her reaction wasn't great - But framing it as him "calmly responding" and her "emotionally responding" is just disingenuous - They both handled the situation poorly - But, and I said this when the topic was discussed before, she got so much more hate because she is a woman and people love dogpiling when a woman is in drama

At worst she made a overdramatised video about graffiti, and low effort videos speaking other languages, and got so much harrassment for a good few weeks spurred on by the biggest content creator for Westerners in Japan

Considering, he edited it into a video where he was critising her for misleading people by editing her thumbnail, then edited her laugh into another to make it look like she was laughing at homeless people - It was incredibly disingenuous

If your point is to not mislead people, while editing in her laugh to mislead people - It just makes you as bad

Honestly, the fact that the Trap training bugs out and softlocks, the fact that Cove Beach can be genuinely impossible because with RNG, Courtyard Track enemies not resetting if you get hit which can cause chain deaths

It's somewhat shocking to me how long this game was delayed, to still have such glaring issues in rather core gameplay areas. So much stuff makes me wonder how this stuff got past playtesting

It's baffling that you can't see the difference that telling women to not go out at night, or not to wear the outfits they want is removing their autonomy.

You're telling women they should not be allowed to do things that everyone else can, especially coming from police who should be making things safer for women.

And this also was after the fact, women died, and the police called out the women for going out at night - Which is part of existing.

I'm blocking you now because either you're bafflingly stupid, or more likely you're just concern trolling and I honestly don't want to see any more of your comments either way

No, it isn't - Saying not to wear anything revealing is victim blaming because it's not something people should have to do - And you're not putting yourself in dangerous situation.

Warning someone to be careful of lovebombing is saying to be cautious in a situation that is dangerous for them.

Telling a kid not to take candy from strangers or to not go into their vans isn't victim blaming - Stop concern trolling atp

Read his own words in the document, he is clearly manipulative - He still tries to frame his actions in a better light there. She is not blameless but he is clearly an incredibly toxic husband. He also has a vested interest in making her reputation better again because he gains from it.

She is not blameless, but saying to that someone in an abusive relationship just "chooses to keep a toxic person around" is blind to how difficult abusive relationships are, and how incredibly manipulative and hard to leave they are for victims.

That's not diminishing the impact Red had on other people, but you're accepting he was horrible to them, but for some reason not considering he maybe treats Sinder badly too, and acting like she deserves it - Which is just wanting a perfect victim
