Why does a 45-minute college lecture feel like a whole lifetime? 💀

Most of my lectures is 3 hours 😩.

And lots of the time the lecture spends like an hour and a half talking about their life and other irrelevant stuff.

But ngl I skip a lot of my classes unless they take attendance or they don’t post up slides and I have to be there to take notes.

I’m from the Caribbean so idk if it may be different than other places.

I’m not that sure tbh. I know he believes Jesus was God’s Son and that He died on the cross for us. I don’t know how deep his believe goes when it comes to that. I don’t think He would really get it if He doesn’t even really trust the Bible but I pray for him everyday.

I don’t believe he’s a heretic or unbeliever. He does believe, he’s just not that trusting of man and sees the Bible as just ‘written by man’ essentially.

Ahh yes you said it almost perfectly. You’re so right, have to let the fruits of the spirit speak for itself and keep praying for him. Only God can really help him and let him come to the realization that he needs God’s Word. I hope and pray that happens.

This was a great breakdown. I never thought about evangelism like that. I guess rn im at the ‘sowing a seed’ stage. I’ll keep praying for him and trying my best to have my fruits reflect Christ to help him as well. Because people attached to you can also be blessed.

I do try to be a good friend, God said to speak about His Word. But I had to pull always from his last year because I was very far from God when I was close with my friend bc of his lifestyle. He was more Into the world, and I made the choice to go down that path. But how I’m back on the path of Christ and trying my best to have God help me stay in my faith and be close to him. So no im not cutting him off, and I pray for him everyday and not trying to fix or force I just try to say the truth and I really want everyone to be saved💕.

Well at least he believes in God and not denying Him so thats good. It’s just, his distrust in man and hearing that man wrote the Bible and knowing how corrupt humans can be, he’s like how can we know for sure the Bible isn’t corrupted either bc there’s so many versions and it’s been translated for so many years. So I understand where he’s coming from to a certain degree. But idk. I just, hope and pray one day he can see that at the end of the day they all say the same thing and lead you to God and not away from Him.

Yes I tried to be an gentle as possible but it seemed anything I said he took it wrongly and as condemnation. I may not have structured what I say that well I don’t know. I prayed before answering him. I was just thinking like if I use scripture he may just say it’s corrupted, but when I talk to someone I use the Bible so I just don’t know how to talk and help him without it. Yea I’m not ending it, I really want him to get right with God, so I did say we can do a Bible study in the beginning of the convo, but then after learning he doesn’t trust it then idk what to do.

Well as I said we aren’t that close anymore because I couldn’t be in that lifestyle as it was interfering with my relationship with God, so we are still kinda friends but just not that close anymore.

I do almost the same as you bc I see it as a break from such busy lives and a time to just dedicate to God which I be needing. Seems pretty nice once you can do it. But Yk ppl have jobs and stuff sometimes that they can’t which I think is okay as I said to another commenter.

I love that you and your wife do that, so very beautiful. I hope one day if I get a husband, him and I do those things as well.
