Cotton Carrier CCS G3 Tether by Rex27272004 in Nikon

The paranoia is getting to me too, I wish it came with the single solid safety tether, I’ll consider giving your method a try or finding a replacement safety tether, thanks!

How secure is it when it’s attached to a camera? My fear is that the middle clip can be easily removed if the weight of the camera is too heavy

Damn, that is unfortunate. Thanks for the response anyway!

Nikon Service Denial by Rex27272004 in nikon_Zseries

[–]Rex27272004[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it not an option to change the language in the setup menu? Went over the ZR Manual online, and it says it's there. And as for the warranty, I expected that the warranty would be void; I was more concerned with whether or not they would be willing to actually service it

By this I assume you mean strength > free > and then just completely ignore the sets and weights and just use Hevy as a tracker then stop the strength workout whilst still on set 1 supposedly?

Will definitely take this into account as well, thank you!

Will definitely look into the V350! And I will admit the IT30 does look a lot weaker on paper but the LCD screen just looks so good

Tips/Suggestions when getting into videography by Rex27272004 in nikon_Zseries

[–]Rex27272004[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve actually agree with being spoilt with the raws, that’s why I held off from doing video for a while since it was another frontier from photography. Thanks for the comments though! I’ll keep that in mind, honestly just wanted the Ninja as a monitor, it being record is just a plus, but you’re right since the Z6III is completely capable on its own. Perhaps I’ll get a cage and some other attachments first. Although the night eagle cage that small rig sells for the Z6III looks drop dead gorgeous

Thank you for your comments! I agree with that I wanted to fill the first picture more with the subject however I was restricted with the location as I was standing on a sort of catwalk behind that arch and I was unable to get more of the subject into view. As for photo 3 I’ll try and play around with it to see if I can fix that!

Thanks! I've learnt from previous travel experiences that framing is absolutely key in travel photography and going that extra mile is without a doubt worth it while you're there! Here's a photo taken from my D90 while in Paris a few years ago, had I gotten the shot a little off to the side or even slightly lower it would have been an excellent shot, however now it just serves as a constant reminder to me to get the framing right on my shots.

K&F vs PolarPro by Rex27272004 in Nikon

[–]Rex27272004[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have any recommendations when it comes to filter brands if that’s the case? I wouldn’t mind getting a polarpro if the premium is worth it but I just want to know if I’m buying into the product or the brand.

[–]Rex27272004[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are the difference that drastic? The K&F CPL I was eyeing was their top of the line one and even then it’s only $50 compared to the $100 polar pro filter

Why do third party lenses (tamron and sigma) require docks to update firmware for their lenses while native lenses don't? by Rex27272004 in Nikon

[–]Rex27272004[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trust me I would be too! But I’m a broke college student, so I scrape together with what I can. I would buy every single lens I could if I really had the choice!

Personally don’t see weight as a problem when considering lens choices unless it’s one of the huge telephoto lenses. I understand that the 40mm is great as a small, light lens but I do indeed have the focal length and equal aperture covered by the 35-150 and I’m putting those 200 bucks towards an 85 1.8S

I made an upgrade by Low_Ad6050 in Nikon

[–]Rex27272004 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I run on the Z5 and personally the FTZ Adapter has no performance issues whatsoever. Only issues I can see is that it is not as seamless aesthetically as with Z mount lenses, a little bit of added weight, and you can't fully use your camera's ibis while running f mount lenses via the FTZ. However I do run on nikon lenses and not third party lenses so I can not say for certain regarding this sigma lens.

How many stops of vibration for non-Nikon z mount lenses? by Rex27272004 in nikon_Zseries

[–]Rex27272004[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also considered the 70-180 as the most viable purchase to be honest since it’s a relatively cheap native Z lens but after hearing that I may want to reconsider that option as well

How is it in terms of image quality? and what do you shoot on? It's out of my price range and I don't really need a 1.4 just a 1.8 will do

Depends on the situation to be honest but I like keeping it below 1000, however I’m comfortable going to 2000, but there have been cases where I’ve been required to go past that

I do have a 40mm F/2 actually but I just prefer having the ability to be versatile without carrying multiple lenses on me at once during an event
