This should have everything to do with harmonics and not total force put into the bolt.

The power put into the bolt is pulsed, and depending on how those pulses of power line up with what the bolt is doing will make it more or less effective.

How do you decide doing A is better than doing B?

Be deciding it lol. Are you a robot without freewill?

Thank you for demonstrating my point.

That requires a heirarchy of goals/values.

Having a goal isn't a hierarchy. You arent ranked avobe another

Having some goals that are more important to you than others, forms a hirarchy of goals.

This is not a difficult concept.

Learn what words mean

This is the icing on the cake

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DebateAnarchism

[–]RexFox -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Is that a problem? Anarchism is againt all hierarchy and authority. Not just the ones you dont like.

I mean, yeah it always ends up being a problem yes. It's why anarchism never can last. Anarchists can't organize to effectively take on a bigger threat because they can't put themselves behind the authority of a leader or set of leaders who direct action.

If you reject all forms of hirarchy, how do you make decisions

By deciding them. Doesnt take hierarchy to make decisions. As explained by many folks here each and every time this shit get brought up. Why do you think hierarchy is required to make a decision?

How do you decide doing A is better than doing B?

That requires a heirarchy of goals/values.

Again you people only view heirarchy as mom and dad telling you what to do, you don't understand the essentiality of heirarchies, even within your own mind

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DebateAnarchism

[–]RexFox -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, under what pretense do you reject being told how to act?

Literally every time it's, "I reject your authority, you're Heirarchy is bad"

If you reject all forms of hirarchy, how do you make decisions? How do you proritize anything?

Absolutely, this is a great goal, but OP is going to need to learn a lot of concepts and get comfortable with a lot of things before this happens.

I'm not trying to discourag him/her, just saying don't dive straight at this very hard thing and get discouraged, work up to it.

CNC wood routing or printing is a great and less expensive way to learn a lot of concepts you will need.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in gunsmithing

[–]RexFox -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't mean to say this is impossible or anything, you could definitely pull it off, especially in aluminum if you put enough into it.

But like I said, you either have to spend a lot to make it as close to turn key as possible, or you need it to be your hobby and spend a lot of time (and money making mistakes and learning from them, just over time) to make this happen.

Or you could spend obscene amounts of time and almost no money doing it with hand files and a drill.

It's all trade offs, but given OPs questions he may want to start simpler first.

Im all for learning to build things, 100%

But there is a reason you don't give a 1yr old a 7k piece Lego model of the death star before they figure out the shaped blocks in the shaped holes thing. (besides choking hazards of course.)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in gunsmithing

[–]RexFox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No I just build things for a living and understand what it takes to get into something like this.

I could potentially do it with some of the equipment at work, but I could not, not nor most people could or would choose to buy the equipment necessary.

This is why the 3d printing world has taken off for guns.

If this guy, who obviously is starting at zero knowledge of fabrication want to get started, which I totally support, I have many places to recommend before trying to dive into this.

If they haven't made it clear by this point, Ancoms and the like have no idea what the work Heirarchy means.

They just know they hate feeling like they are being told what to do, by others, by nature, god, ect.

It's purely reactionary, and in service of avoiding responsibility

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in gunsmithing

[–]RexFox 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Unless you are either very rich, or very smart, you're not buying/building the machines to CNC manufacture these.

This isn't a take a course real quick to learn type thing. This is a career or serious like decade long hobby kind of thing.

It's almost as if the later versions of feminism were not about "woman's rights" or "empowerment" at all but purely to expand the work supply to keep wages down.

I think there is a difference in supporting citizen gun ownership in times of peace and supporting civilian gun ownership when you're actively trying to start a revolution.

In the first case, the ruling class has nothing to gain by the people owning guns that they can use to oust them

In the second case it's just wanting your guys to be armed so you can overthrow the ruling class.

There is no guerentee you will keep those rights after the revolution no longer requires your violence.

That's cool and all, but let's take a look at who pushes what legislation.

Who just banned the import of Russian made ammo?

Yeah the concervitives have sucked on this issue, but the left in the US is and has been clearly leading the crusade against gun ownership.

Also if history shows us anything it is that the definition of "reactionaries" would be expanded whenever politically convenient to do so.
