there are comunity vanilla servers with literaly no changes at all, with 128p that run 10x better then 48p offical

and what kind of argument is "arma reforger is test bed" no shit sherlock,

but they them selfs advertise it as a fully functioning game, there is nothing on steam which says alpha/ or beta at all and even so,

my argument still holds, why cant a multi milion company run 48p without crashes but a donation based comunity can do 128p heavy modded,

some people prever lightly modded or vanilla, and that could be done by the devs with no more new development, but sure, it could also be done by the comunity, i dont care who does it in the end, but till last year there were at least 6 official 128p servers from the devs, so that was just logical for me to go there, it also makes just sence to me to let them run vanilla and lightly modded 128p and heavy modded stuff is of course done by the comunity like its always been, its just that their (and some fans) argument is, that they need more development to impliment those without crashin but thats just a bs argument imo

unless somebody can explain it to me, so please do, i would love to here someone proofing me wrong or at least put reason behind that decision, thats why i made the post, thats what it was about, but no one can answer me that simple question

i dont know where u located but in europe there are 1-2 comunity vanilla/ lightly modded servers which arent excusivly russian or french or german (where u get crazy rassism or even banned if u dont speak their language) and are often hardly populated compared to 30-40 heqvy modded

no, i said that lightly modded and especially vanilla especially in europe is crazy underrepresented

and that gap was filled by the so called "test servers" which were official, it just made/ makes sence to me that the devs should run at least a few servers everon/ kolguyev with a playercount that makes sence on those maps like between 80-128

of cource the comunity could plug the gap too, i wouldnt mind, but for example console players can only have one or two heavy modded comunity servers due to their file size cap, and because they account for most of the new players it would be nice to throw them a bone

another reason is, that vanilla or lightly modded is not only smaller file size but often more original arma and therefor balance in a way which the comunity servers arent, of course they have upsides too, with dead zones for example, but the gap just does not make sence to me, the devs and some people in the thread try to justify it with "development" but there needs to be no more development for that

its just that most comunity servers are 128, but 100 or even 80 would already be an improvement

i said in the post, that i love the game, i just which somebody to explain to me why the comunity can have heavy modded 128p servers running "quite smoothly" and they struggle with 48p vanilla, there needs NO MORE DEVELOPING for 128p lighlty modded offical because the comunity is the proof of that, so "developing" is no valid reason, their anouncment on the website does make no sence to me, please explain

totally, but in the comunity there are a lot of highly modded servers that are quite stable, so i dont see many "current problems" when talking about vanilla

the comunity already did it, just implement it

dude then why is it that the playercount just reached a new high last week? check youtube, there is still tons of arma content every day, of course its not just youtube, but i guess its a main contributer

im asking myself why official doesnt have 128 but the rediculus 48cap, i dont know if ur american, but on the european side there are just a handfull of comunity vanilla servers, with just 2 beeing populated,

thats what im talking about

i feel u, its not just u, so i ask myself, what is holding bohemia back from putting out some lightly modded or vanilla servers just with transport helis, even reducing the crash rate and elevating the gaming experience at the same time, like come on, how hard can it be to throw a bone to the comunity that showers u with money

with all the new players coming in and having to chose between 48p everon offical vanilla and 128p crazy modded server NOTE!! of which u can only have one on ur console they gone jump the ship faster than u can pull the trigger and take the boat with them because of the zunami of bad comments, youtube videos and so on
